Biography
Hala's Hariyama is the evolved form of Hala's Makuhita. Hala's Hariyama helped clean up the lumber accident on a road on Melemele Island the day that Ash went to visit Hala for the first time. Hariteyama's thick body may appear fat, but it is actually a hunk of solid muscle. If it puts strength into all its muscles, its body becomes as hard as a rock. It is said that it can send a 10-ton truck flying, roughly the weight of 1667 Pikachu's, with a straight-arm punch.

During the Grand Trial battle against Ash's Pikachu, it used Fake Out to set up Knock Off in a manner that came as a complete surprise to Rotom Pokédex. Professor Kukui thought it was a magnificent combo. Pikachu tried to counterattack with Electro Ball but it didn't work. Ash Ketchum instructed Ash's Pikachu to use Quick Attack and run circles around Hariteyama until it used Iron Tail on its legs to create a combo attack of their own. Ash's Pikachu won the match by using the Z-Move Breakneck Blitz which knocked out Hariyama and gave Ash Ketchum the win in the Melemele Island Pilgrimage Grand Trial battle!
