C-Gear (Cギア)

The C-Gear is a watch like device that is given to players after they help out Fennel. It has a variety of communication features that allows the player to setup meetings with their friends. It features InfraRed, Local Wireless and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection links to allow players to setup battles, trades, sync statistical information, Friend Code trading and more.

Event

C-Gear Wallpapers (Cギアスキン):

Various C-Gear wallpapers have been made available for players to download off the Pokémon Global Link website. Players can choose which wallpaper they wish to use on their C-Gear as well as change the location of the IR, Wi-Fi and Wireless options on that wallpaper to make it easier to see a particular one that has the wallpaper images positioned differently than the players previous wallpaper.

Players can login to the Pokémon Global Link website and they are presented with a customization page that allows them to select which C-Gear skin they would like to use.

Players could participate in the Japanese poll to select Dream World Pokémon and they would then be given the password 「ゆめのせかい」 to unlock the skin. The password for Korea was: "꿈의 세계". The password for North America was distributed at events that took place in the summer of 2011 including the US National Championships. The password for North America and Europe was: PikachuCGear
Munna Wallpaper: Munna's Flower Garden

Dates Available for North America and Europe: May 12th, 2011 until October 25th, 2012
The wallpaper is available to Japanese users who sign-up for an account on the Pokémon Global Link website. Players of other regions have to purchase the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version Volume 2: The Official Unova Pokédex and Guide to get a password on page 176 to unlock this wallpaper. The password for regions outside of Japan was: PGLDR34M
Choroneko Wallpaper: Pokémon Smash - Shoko-tan's Choroneko
Dates Available for Japan: November 29th, 2010 until January 31st, 2011
During the last segment of Pokémon Smash #5, Shoko-tan introduced the Pokémon Smash C-Gear Background Present Campaign. Each member of the Pokémon Smash crew had drawn a background that they hope will be voted on to become a C-Gear background for Pokémon Black and White. A page was put up at the official Pokémon Smash website to allow people to see which pictures each member drew. Players could vote for their favorite one until midnight on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010. The results were announced on Pokémon Smash #9. Shoko-tan announced that there was 60,792 votes cast during the voting period. In third place, with 14,945 votes was Yamamoto and his Champion Mijumaru picture. In second place with 15,213 votes was Golgo and his Dageki picture. In first place was Shoko-tan who amassed 21,257 votes. Players needed to insert the password 「ポケモーニング」 to unlock the skin.

Yahoo! Pokémon had a special Informational Game for Girls 「女の子のためのゲーム情報」 and it was voted to be the skin to be distributed because it was cute and sparkly.The Korean 반짝☆치라미 did not require a password and was free for all users. North American and Europe password for the Twinkle☆Minccino C-Gear skin is: PGLWELCOME which was revealed on the official Pokémon website.

As part of the Pokémon Center's 'Pokémon dream' campaign, the Tabunne skin was posted on the Global Link website. Players were required to enter the password 「ポケモンセンター」 to download the skin which was revealed on a poster at the Pokémon Center's. The password YAHOOAUDINO was posted on the Yahoo Kids website for North America .
Unlike most other events, this promotion will only be available to American and European players if their location is registered as being in North America.

To celebrate the February 2nd, 2011 Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl Anime Special, a C-Gear skin of Hikari's Pochama and Takeshi's Gureggru were posted to help promote the special. The C-Gear was made available in North America and Europe a year later and was not related to the Hikari and Takeshi specials. The password was: PIPLUPCGEAR2012 for North America and Europe.

To celebrate the February 2nd, 2011 Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl Anime Special, a C-Gear skin of Hikari's Pochama and Takeshi's Gureggru were posted to help promote the special. The September 2011 issue of Nintendo Power distributed the Poison Jab Croagunk C-Gear Skin password: NPCGEAR. The password for Germany was revealed in the N-Zone Magazine 12/11 Ausgabe 176 and it was: CRONZONE. The password for Spain was also announced by N-Zone magazine and the C-Gear password was: CRONintendoAccion. The Christmas issue of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK announced the password as: CRONintendoOfficial. The December 2011 issue of the French Official Nintendo Magazine announced the password for France as: CRONNintendoOfficiel.

Cafe Wallpaper: Pokémon Café

As part of the Pokémon Center's 'Pokémon Café' campaign, the Pokémon Café skin was posted on the Global Link website. Players were required to enter the password 「ポケモンカフェ」 to download the skin which was revealed on a flyer at the Pokémon Center's.

To celebrate Dent's Ishizumai evolving into Dent's Iwapalace in Pocket Monsters Best Wishes episode 64, this C-Gear wallpaper was distributed to everyone in Japan without a password. International players had to enter a password in the Promotions page of the Pokémon Global Link site in order to get this C-Gear skin.

A Meloetta C-Gear entitled Night Sky Singing (よぞらのうたごえ) was released on the Japanese Pokémon Global Link on July 14th, 2012 to coincide with the release of the 15th Movie short. A Meloetta C-Gear skin was also available for Pocket Monsters Black 2 and White 2. No password is required to unlock this C-Gear skin in Japan.
Pokémon Worlds 2012 Wallpaper: Pokémon World Championships 2012
Dates Available for North America and Europe: August 9th, 2012 until September 6th, 2012
To commemorate the 2012 Pokémon World Championships, a special C-Gear skin featuring Pikachu was made available. The password WCSCGEAR2012 was revealed by the Pokémon World Championships 2012 official site. This C-Gear skin resembles the one that was distributed to Japanese players of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 as a commemorative gift for the Beginning Cup WiFi tournament.
Red Genesect Wallpaper: Movie 16 - Red Genesect
