Ash and co. wait at the port of Lake Valor for the arrival of May. May soon arrives on the boat to greet them. She also is going to compete in the Wallace Cup. Another reason why May came to Sinnoh was to evolve her Eevee. She went to Snowpoint City to evolve it into a Glaceon. After May introduces her Glaceon to the group, she talks about contests back in Johto. Drew and Harley are stronger than ever, and May is having a tough time beating them. So, she hopes on getting stronger at the Wallace Cup and returning to Johto even stronger.
May has made reservations at a 7-star restaurant, and she invites Ash, Dawn, and Brock to join her. When they get inside the restaurant, the host greets them and explains that they first have to defeat the owners in a tag battle. If they can successfully do that, then they will be rewarded with a free, full course meal. Ash and Brock decide to team up first, and they send out Sudowoodo and Pikachu. The owners send out Snorlax and Munchlax. Ash and Brock are able to defeat the other team with one attack, and they earn their right into the dining room.
Now it's Dawn and May's turn to battle. This time the owners use Girafarig and Drifloon. Dawn uses Piplup, and May uses Blaziken. An explosion suddenly occurs, and a waiter reports that all of the food has been stolen. May is very upset by this, and she plans on doing whatever it takes to get the food back. She decides to use her Munchlax, since it can track down the food. Her Munchlax is successful, as it leads the group right up to Team Rocket, who is stuffing their faces with the stolen food.
Team Rocket has munched down a table full of food. All that remains is the refrigerator, and May is ready to fight for it back. Her and Dawn team up against Team Rocket. After a blow from Glaceon and Buneary's Ice Beam, Team Rocket is blasted away. The owners of the restaurant thank May and Dawn for recovering the stolen food. As a way of saying thanks, they reward May and Dawn access to the full course meal without a tag battle. However, while their lunch is being prepared, they decide to have a tag battle anyway.
An intense battle with Piplup and Blaziken against Girafarig and Drifloon commences. After an extraordinary combination of fire and water from Blaziken and Piplup, Dawn and May win the battle, and their lunch is finally served. At night, Ash and co. gaze down at the Wallace Cup dome. May tells the group how the contest ribbon she won with Ash always brings her good luck. Dawn agrees because her mother's ribbon brings her good luck too. The Wallace Cup contest is going to begin soon, and Ash, Dawn, Brock, and May can't wait to be a part of it.
