Rayquaza was distributed to players through a variety of different promotions throughout Singapore via a serial code. Below is a list of the promotions.

Maxsoft - Shiny Rayquaza Distribution Confirmed!!

May/June 2015 – Summer Campaign. This distribution is meant solely for SouthEast Asia customers, where you can only download the Pokémon on the US and Japanese Software of:

Pokémon Omega Ruby
Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Pokémon X (Note: Mega Rayquaza will not be able to Mega Evolve in Pokémon XY)
Pokémon Y (Note: Mega Rayquaza will not be able to Mega Evolve in Pokémon XY)

All products distributed by Maxsoft will be eligible for this promotion.

There are limited quantities for the distribution conducted. The first distribution will be conducted with our partner retailers. Maxsoft will conduct a distribution on our Facebook Page at a later date.

Banned from Official Play

On January 21st, 2016, the official Japanese Pokémon Global Link website announced that this event Rayquaza would be banned from further official tournaments and events. It had previously been noticed that it couldn't be traded over the Internet. The single quote in the OT before 15 triggers the hack check system. The ban did not affect other distributed event Rayquaza's from participating in official events though. Despite being distributed in Singapore, Japanese or North American region games could obtain it.
