PocketMonsters.net is looking for a few knowledgeable people that would be willing to help out with the character bios for our Character Database and our newly created Voice Actor database which integrates into the Character Database.

Character Database - Bio Writing

While all the Characters have been created and assigned, many of them are lacking detailed descriptions. As part of our on going task to get as much information as possible about the Pokemon Anime in a database form, the character bios are the next step to give viewers of the website a lot of information about the characters. While some characters will have more information to build a biography, most characters should have enough information from the episodes they are in to write at least a 3 paragraph biography. An example bio is available here. Some characters have basic or 1 paragraph bios already. Please expand upon those bios especially if the episode you are watching has important information for a character that doesn't have any bio information written about yet. Our goal it to have a minimum of 3 to 5 paragraphs of information for each character. Some characters, especially some character Pokemon may need a bit of padding to get that much but that shouldn't be too hard to do.

We are hoping to get as many people as possible to write biographies for the characters in that episode and to check to make sure the current information in the 'Character' guide tab is accurate. Bios need to be written for all "Characters" listed in the episode guide tab, which includes characters of the day, secondary characters and secondary character Pokemon, ect. Quite often secondary characters will appear in a lot of episodes. Only add major relevant information to their bios pertaining to the episodes you are assigned if that information isn't already there. Please refrain from writing episode synopsis for the characters and include only relevant information.

Voice Actor Database

Our voice actor database is completely new to PocketMonsters.net and multiple voice actors can be assigned to each character in the Character database. Were hoping to get some basic info on each voice actor. 2-3 paragraphs if possible for each voice actor detailing interesting things people might like to know about them.

Cynthia is the Champion of the Sinnoh region, hailing from Celestic Town. She is also a researcher of Pokemon mythologies and folklore. She travels across the Sinnoh region, as well as other regions, accepting challenges to Pokemon battles and studying sites related to Pokemon mythologies.

Ash, Brock, and Dawn first meet Cynthia as she is studying stone tablets at Amity Square Ruins. Cynthia instructs Ash and Paul and observes their rivalry, with Chimchar being the key that binds their fates together. As Cynthia recites from the stone tablets, "When every life meets another life, something will be born." Cynthia and Ash, as well as his friends and Paul, encounter each other throughout the Diamond & Pearl series from then on. One such instance is Cynthia's intervention to stop Cyrus of Team Galactic's plot to control of Dialga and Palkia. She appears again during the Sinnoh League Tournament, in which Cynthia is a spectator to the matches that take place.

Cynthia meets Ash again, as well as Cilan and Iris, in the Unova region, during Best Wishes 2. They travel together to Cynthia's villa, while encountering Meloetta on the way. Iris challenges Cynthia to a battle as she hopes to become a Dragon Master and raise her Axew to be as strong as Cynthia's Garchomp. Cynthia is expected to have an exhibition match at the Pokemon World Tournament Junior Cup.

Cynthia's team throughout the series consists of Garchomp, Gastrodon, and Glaceon. Garchomp is her strongest Pokemon, and most frequently called out. Garchomp helped triumph over Team Galactic and defeated multiple challengers, such as: Paul, Aaron, Flint, and Iris. Cynthia's Gastrodon has also helped in several battles, particularly against Team Galactic and against Aaron in a Championship match. Her Glaceon is called out to help heal the sickly Meloetta by creating ice.



NOTE, do not add this to the bio: Under Battle Against Iris' Axew, "as she was" is repeated twice. Also, I do not recall Cynthia being in ep 3 of Best Wishes 2. Unless the recap at the beginning of the ep counts.

Thanks I have added your bio of Cynthia to the database. It certainly expanded the information on her. I also corrected "as she was" repeated twice. We do count any occurrence as an appearance be it in flashback form or memory.
