Niantic announced on their Pokémon GO Latinoamérica Twitter account that Hawlucha will make its Pokémon GO debut on March 1st, 2023 as part of Rising Heroes Season 10 but it will be a Regional Exclusive to Mexico. Also, a Snapshot tournament will take place in partnership with 7-Eleven. Participants are to take AR pictures in-game of Hawlucha for the chance to win prizes.

Participate in the GO Snapshots Hawlucha tournament!

Be part of our second GO Snapshot tournament in AR+ together with Pokémon GO, where we will have different prizes for the all the places. Participating is very simple:

4. On March 20th, 2023, we will review the 8 semi-finalists during a special broadcast on our Twitch channel and the winners will be announced on social networks.

We will have a panel of judges for the finals, which will evaluate the GO Snapshots based on creativity, photography quality and concept.

Guidelines

• All pictures must be taken of the Pokémon Hawlucha in AR or AR+
• The photographs may not be edited in any way, for example: adding filters, retouching, texts or other effects or elements.
• The following elements may not appear in the photographs: logos, toys, people, animals or food.
• It is important to take into account the proportion of the size of the Hawlucha Pokémon, it measures an average of 78 cm tall. Avoid that in your photograph it looks very small or exaggeratedly large.
• Once your photo is submitted, updates will no longer be allowed.
• A maximum of one entry per person is allowed and only players who live within the Mexican Republic may participate.
• For this challenge, group AR photos (where more than one Pokémon appears in AR) are not allowed.
• The tournament is limited to 100 participants.
• The organizer, at their discretion, may remove photographs that are considered offensive, unethical or outside the code of conduct.

The Official Pokémon Hong Kong Facebook page announced that the third 7-Eleven Pokémon Themed Store in Taiwan has opened in Kaohsiung!


The entire store is themed after the upcoming release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet which releases on November 18th, 2022. From the outside of the store to the inside, the store is filled with the three new starter Pokémon as well as the Pokémon of the Paldea region, so be sure to visit and explore the store to see what other Pokémon appear there!


In addition to the cute Pikachu counter selling items, the store also has a Nintendo Switch demo machine. There is also a Pokémon Ga-Olé arcade machine as well as areas for Pokémon Card Game players. A multi-stall work area is also setup.

7-Eleven will release three types of rice balls on Friday, November 18th, 2022 in wrapping inspired by the Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball that appear in Pocket Monsters games.

Each of the rice balls has a different taste. The Poké Ball is a combination of Pork Sausage Garlic, Pepper Rice and Mayonnaise. The Great Ball is a demi-glace omelet rice with two types of mushrooms, Chicken and Ketchup while the Ultra Ball is Pork, Egg and Soy Sauce.

The Poké Ball costs 172 yen, the Great Ball costs 162 yen and the Ultra Ball costs 151 yen tax included.

7-Eleven Japan has announced that as of Sunday, October 31st, 2021, their collaboration with Pokémon GO will come to an end. As a result, all PokéStops at 7-Eleven stores will be closed and are scheduled to be removed by early morning on November 1st, 2021. This will affect upwards of 20,000 PokéStops in Japan. The partnership has been ongoing for about 4 years.

7-Eleven opened a new location on January 31st, 2021 in Fuzhong, New Taipei, Taiwan near the Banqiao Fuzhong MRT Station. It is the highly awaited Pokémon-themed store for Pokémon Trainers. The whole store is designed with cute Pokémon and it looks like a Pokémon Center. It is also an official Pokémon Game Gym location. High resolution pictures of the store have been added to an Imageboard thread.


The first thing you see outside the store is the most popular Pokémon Pikachu, as well as the fire breathing Dragon Charizard, and Lapras. Follow Pikachu's footprints on the ground into the store and you'll find:
• 808 Pokémon painted on the walls allowing fans to search for their favorite Pokémon.
• The glass tables as a seating area where there built-in displays of the Pokémon Cards from the past. The chairs are different PokéBalls.
• Looking up at the ceiling, you can still see the strongest Pokémon Eternatus.
• The floor of the overall seating area is designed to look like a large Pokémon Card Battle Mat.
• There are also popular Pokémon Ga-Olé and Nintendo Switch machines stations to immerse you in the world of Pokémon.
