Pokémon the Orchestra: In the Land of Myth (신화의 땅에서), a newly arranged orchestra performance promoted by Pokémon Korea for the new year, will be held for the first time in South Korea at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul. Performances will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at 7pm and Sunday, January 29th, 2023 at 1:30pm and 5pm. Ticket reservations are available starting on January 11th, 2023 at 15:00.

The performance features pieces from the soundtracks of Pokémon DP Diamond and Pearl, which was released in South Korea in 2008 and gained great popularity, and Pokémon Legends Arceus, which drew great attention as an action RPG game. This performance will invoke memories and impressions to fans who have enjoyed the Pokémon games for a long time, and will be a thrill to new fans who are just embarking on their new Pokémon adventure.

Under the direction of Conductor Chin Sol, the FLASIC Game Symphony Orchestra boasts a rich performance experience and presents beautiful melodies. In addition, the game music was newly arranged by FLASIC. The following are the tracks that will be played at the performance.

Kotobukiya has revealed the final design for the ARTFX J Kōki with Hikozaru (ARTFX J コウキ with ヒコザル) figure based on the illustration drawn by Hitoshi Ariga for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel posted a new Project Pochama video titled: "It'll be fine!" To celebrate the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, a Pokémon DP Sound Library website launched on December 23rd, 2021. The site contains all the music from the Nintendo DS Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Super Music Collection CD and can be downloaded or listened to for free off the website. The download license is only valid for Japan and as such the website and downloads are region locked. The soundtrack was posted on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel on December 24th, 2021 and was region free. On February 2nd, 2022, the official Pokémon YouTube channel also posted the soundtrack.

What is the Pokémon DP Sound Library?

The Pokémon DP Sound Library allows users to listen to music from the Nintendo DS game Pokémon Diamond and Pearl released in 2006, as well as download sound data and sheet music. To be given an opportunity to arrange Pokémon game music like this is such a fulfilling and wild experience for me. My younger self would have been overjoyed by the very idea. I like my beats to roll with a story-like structure and momentum, so I started off by conceptualizing how a Pokémon Trainer's everyday life would play out. The music begins with a laid-back mood in the Pokémon Center, which then transitions to a heated Trainer battle where the struggle to stay in the fight adds to the feeling of tension and excitement, and so forth. I mean, come on, you get full free access to the entire collection of original sound data from Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, and be able to mix and match them to your heart's content? Count me in!

When I thought about Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, a quick trip down memory lane took me back to the scene with the special report, "Search for the Red Gyarados!" featured on the TV early in the game. And just like that, my passion for Gyarados really exploded.

This Pokémon bears the handy "Intimidate" Ability, and even "Moxie" which I think is quite slick. Its Attack stat is certainly up there, but its Special Attack value isn’t too bad either. The Mega Evolved form is jaw-dropping to gaze at.

Sure, Gyarados is vulnerable to Electric-type moves, but that is nothing compared to the countless times this Pokémon saved me in close battles. All this nudged me towards crying out its name the way I did in my music.

I sprinkled in all sorts of sampled in-game sounds into the mix for your ears to spot, but it was far from exhausting the vast variety of assets provided in "Pokémon DP Sound Library". With all this material to work off of, I'm excited to see what kind of arrangement other artists will compose. To all Pokémon Trainer musicians out there! GYARADOS!!

Hyadain is a Japan-based composer / arranger / lyricist who has written and produced a wide array of songs for J-POP artists and idol groups on one end, and anime and games on the other. His music career began with a piano at the age of three, which eventually led to his break into the professional scene in 2007 through sampling video game music, among other works. The Pokémon Company International and Hulu have announced that the Pokémon Anime is now available to watch on the streaming service. Hulu is available to residents of United States and they can now watch the first 5 episodes of Diamond and Pearl for free. The first 2 episodes of Pokémon the Series: XY will be available to watch for free soon.


For subscribers of the United States version of Hulu Plus, the entire Diamond and Pearl is available with Pokémon: DP Battle Dimension, Pokémon: DP Galactic Battles and Pokémon: DP Sinnoh League Victors becoming available soon. The official Pokémon website revealed last week that the first ever Pokémon Game Show （ポケモンゲームショー） will be held at Tokyo Big Site (東京ビッグサイト) August 17th, 2013 and August 18th, 2013. Admission is free to the event. Robert from Pokémon Smash will also be in attendance and there will be a lottery to determine who can battle them at the event. This will be the first time that people will be able to play the demo for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Pokémon Tretta

Visitors will be able to receive a special Pikachu Rookie Tretta on a first come first serve basis. To promote the 16th Pocket Monsters movie, a special Red Genesect Trophy Tretta can be obtained if players defeat it in the Challenge Cup.


This will also be the first time that people will able to play Pokémon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS (ポケモントレッタラボ for ニンテンドー３ＤＳ). The application will be released in Japan on August 10th, 2013. Tretta players are welcomed to bring their Tretta's to try them out in the Tretta Lab.

Aoni Production announced on Friday February 22nd, 2013 that Chieko Honda (本多知恵子) died due to Multiple myeloma cancer and had been undergoing medical treatment in hospital at the time. She died on February 18th, 2013. She was best known to Pocket Monsters fans as the voice actor for Natane (ナタネ).
