Pokémon Bank subscribers can receive a special Decidueye, Incineroar and Primarina from March 9th, 2018 until October 31st, 2018. These Pokémon come with their Hidden Ability and it is the first time that these Pokémon have been distributed with their Hidden Abilities.

A New Bonus for Pokémon Bank Subscribers

Everyone who has registered for Pokémon Bank can get a special Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina.

Pokémon Bank is the paid service for your Nintendo 3DS family of systems that allows you to store and transfer your Pokémon online! And for a limited time, if you sign up or are already registered for Pokémon Bank, you'll receive three cool Pokémon originally discovered in the Alola region for your Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun, or Pokémon Moon game. The three Pokémon will each arrive with a Hidden Ability that is not available through normal gameplay. This is the first chance to get these Pokémon with their Hidden Abilities, making this a special opportunity!

Decidueye's Hidden Ability is Long Reach, an Ability that no other obtainable Pokémon has had before. It allows the Pokémon to use its moves without making contact with its opponents, so Decidueye won't take damage from Abilities like Rough Skin or held items like Rocky Helmet.

Incineroar's Hidden Ability, Intimidate, lowers its opponent's Attack when Incineroar enters battle. With Intimidate, you can cut down on the attacking power of opponents that rely on physical attacks.

Primarina's Liquid Voice Hidden Ability has also never been available for a Pokémon until now. With Liquid Voice, all of Primarina's sound-based moves become Water type. Because these moves become the same type as Primarina, their power is increased!

To receive these Pokémon, become an active Pokémon Bank subscriber by October 31, 2018. The cost for Pokémon Bank is $4.99 for a one-year subscription. You can sign up and download Pokémon Bank via Nintendo eShop.

To receive Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina:
  1. Start Pokémon Bank and select the game in which you would like to receive the gift.
  2. After receiving your gift in Pokémon Bank, start up the game you previously selected.
  3. You will receive your Pokémon as a Mystery Gift from the delivery person in any Pokémon Center.
  4. Remember to save your game!

Note: You will receive only one trio of Pokémon per Pokémon Bank account.

The Pokémon Company International announced today that Pokémon has followed up its record-breaking sales performance in 2016 with continued growth in Europe throughout 2017 for its Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) and toys.

According to figures recorded by the NPD Group Toys retail tracking service, Pokémon is the number one Strategic Trading Card Game property in Europe, with total sales exceeding €100 million. Total sales for such games in Europe in 2017 were over €122 million, giving Pokémon a phenomenal 82% share of the market.

Pokémon TCG sales continued to rise in key territories, with growth of 42% in the United Kingdom, 56% in Spain and an incredible 644% in Italy. Pokémon toys [HB1] also saw a significant rise in sales in 2017, with an increase of 54% in the UK, 14% in Germany and 146% in Italy.

Pokémon gained additional recognition at the UK Toy Fair in London by winning two separate awards. The Pokémon Trading Card Game collected Pocket Money Toy of the Year at the Toy Industry Awards, organised by the British Toy & Hobby Association and Toy Retailers Association. Additionally, the new line of Pokémon toys [AD2] made by Wicked Cool Toys and distributed by Character Options was crowned the winner of the Toy Fair 2018 Editor’s Choice Award, which was voted on by media visiting the show.

Simon Benton, VP of Pokémon TCG Sales Europe, said: “2017 was another exceptional year for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. We are the number one Strategic Card Game in Europe, and the UK toy industry voted the Pokémon Trading Card Game the top Pocket Money Toy of the Year. The continued success is testament to the fantastic support of all our retailers and the Pokémon TCG's huge appeal, and with further expansions and promotions planned, we expect another strong performance in 2018.”

Peter Murphy, senior director of marketing at The Pokémon Company International, said: “Wicked Cool Toys’ first Pokémon master toy range has been fantastically well received by retailers and the media at the recent toy fairs in London and Nuremberg. The huge interest in the new toy line is hugely encouraging, and we expect sales to continue to rise when the range launches later this year.”

The global phenomenon of Pokémon was first launched in Japan in 1996 as a role-playing game for Nintendo’s Game Boy system and reached the United States and Europe in 1998–99. The first Pokémon games introduced the original 151 Pokémon. Today, the Pokémon universe includes more than 800 Pokémon that players can catch, trade, and battle against their opponents with in the quest to become a top Pokémon Trainer.

Pokémon has since grown into one of the most popular entertainment properties in the world. It is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time, with more than 300 million video games sold worldwide. In addition, 23.6 billion TCG cards have been shipped to 74 countries in 11 languages, and over 450,000 players take part in Pokémon events every year. There are also more than 900 episodes of the animated TV series, soon starting its 21st season.

Niantic has announced that from February 23rd, 2018 until March 5th, 2018, players of Pokémon GO will have the chance to catch the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza in Raid Battles.

Kyogre and Groudon Join Rayquaza for a Legendary Week of Raid Battles!

Trainers, Now is the time to test your strength! Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon return to Raid Battles alongside Rayquaza for a limited time. Now is an excellent chance to finally catch all three ancient Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region!

Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza each have their own strengths and weaknesses, so challenging all three will take skill! Power up your strongest Pokémon, grab your friends, and head to nearby Gyms for a chance to battle and catch them from February 23 until March 5.

We’re in for some legendary battles, and the overall result will be exciting! If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) are more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) are more likely to hatch.

These battles will be tough, so we have new special boxes debuting on February 24, containing Raid Passes to help you prepare. Visit the in-game store to find out more.

Did you know Pokémon is celebrating a ‘legendary’ year in 2018? You can learn about more about these and other Legendary Pokémon at Pokemon.com/Legendary.

Don’t miss this opportunity to add these Legendary Pokémon to your team. Stay safe, and happy exploring!
