Pokémon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS (ポケモントレッタラボ for ニンテンドー３ＤＳ) has been announced and is being developed by T-ARTS and MAQL. The main system/application will be released in Japan on August 10th, 2013 for 3800yen. The Nintendo 3DS application will allow players of the popular Japanese arcade game Pokémon Tretta to load tretta's into the Tretta Scanner (トレッタスキャナー) to identify the tretta.


The application Pokémon Tretta Lab can be downloaded for free and will be released simultaneously with the release of Pokémon Tretta Lab Main System (ポケモントレッタラボメインシステム). Players can scan a QR code that is included in the Pokémon Tretta Lab Main System package to download the application. The application is pretty much useless without the Tretta Scanner though. The Main System package includes: the Tretta Scanner, 2 Nintendo 3DS stands (Original 3DS and LL sized) and the QR code.


Pokémon Tretta Lab has three main modes: Tretta Analyzer (トレッタアナライザー), Type Checker (タイプチェッカー) and Auto Battle (オートバトル). Tretta Analyzer displays information on the scanned in tretta. Type Checker looks up information other tretta's type information and Auto Battle allows players to scan in two tretta's and it will automatically setup a battle between them.


Eevee, Mewtwo and Lucario tretta's come with the main system package and are featured in this years Pocket Monsters movie but those that pre-order can also get a Pichu tretta.

The official Pokémon Tretta website has announced a few new goods that will be released in April and May of 2013. The Pokémon Tretta - Collection Trunk (ポケモントレッタ　コレクショントランク) stores 99 Tretta's and 1 Tretta Report card. It has a large Monster Ball on the front and a carrying handle to make it easier for players to bring their Tretta's to a gaming unit. It will be released in Japan on April 25th, 2013 for the suggested retail price of 2,604yen (tax included).


The Pokémon Tretta - Tretta Sleeves (ポケモントレッタ　トレッタスリーブ) protect a players Tretta's from scratches and dirt. Packs of 15 will be sold starting on May 16th, 2013 for the suggested retail price of 420 yen (tax included).



Additionally, 12 more tretta from the upcoming expansion Search For That Trio Alongside Nyarth have been revealed, including a Legend class Rayquaza tretta, a Lizardon tretta that marks the very first non-legendary/mythical Pokémon to receive a Master class tretta, the first Poison-type tretta in Gureggru and Tamagetake, and another couple tretta with the Search mark, which has been revealed to be a function that allows the player to manipulate the Search Roulette to a certain degree.

From March 1st, 2013 until supplies last, Pokémon Tretta systems in participating Aeon Fantasy malls will dispatch special clear versions of the Hyper class Heat Rotom Tretta from Set 4 instead of the standard version you can get elsewhere.

PokéFan 28 - Elekible Trophy Tretta

An Elekible Trophy Tretta is also being distributed with issues of Pokémon Fan #28. Our Rookie Tretta page has been updated with the details.

The 4th Pokémon Tretta set has been announced and a teaser for the expansion was recently added to the official Pokémon Tretta website. The set features a new gameplay mechanic, Forme Change, and several new Pokémon, including Genesect and Rotom. It will officially go live at February 14th, 2013 when Pokémon Tretta arcade machines will be updated to this new version. Many of the new tretta's have been revealed and we have added them to our set 4 list. Forme Change

This feature was introduced in the fourth expansion set. Certain tretta will have a small "Forme Change" symbol on the front, alongside a picture featuring two different formes of that tretta's Pokémon. If you scan this tretta, the Pokémon will appear in the game in its "standard" forme, the one featured in the back of the picture. During the third round of Battle Mode, all Pokémon with the Forme Change symbol will change into their other forme, the one shown in the front of the picture, gaining a different attack in the process.

Landlos-Lucario Cup

The Landlos-Lucario Cup will be held in March 2013 in participating stores. Like the earlier cups, participants will get to play a single game of Pokémon Tretta each on a special variant of the Tretta system created specifically for this tournament, based on the currently available expansion set (in this case, the 4th expansion). The total Poke-ene of all the Pokemon the player catches during this game will be added together, the combined total making up the player's score. All players acquiring a score total of 60 or higher will be awarded a specially-made "CLEAR" diploma sticker, while the 5 participants with the highest scores will be given a "WINNER" diploma sticker. All participants will also be given either a Landlos or a Lucario trophy tretta, chosen at random. The number of participants in the cup will vary based on the store.

Level 4 Tretta Report Certification Panels

Additionally, starting February 2013, after the release of the 4th expansion set, Pokémon Tretta events hosting Tretta Report Certification Panels will have a fourth Level players can aim for. The criteria for passing Level.4 is to have the capture of a Master Class tretta on your Tretta Report for the current expansion set. All players fulfilling this ill be given a special Reshiram trophy tretta. Like always, all previous certification level criteria can still be fulfilled and shown to the panel to receive the respective trophy tretta awards for these levels.

The official Pokémon Tretta website has announced that 500 lucky players will receive a Pikachu trophy tretta via a lottery. Registered players must submit an end of game ranking between December 15th, 2012 and December 25th, 2012 in order to quality. There will be a second lottery distribution of this Pikachu tretta in the future.
