Advance Adventure is also the title of the first opening of the Japanese Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation series. It was sung by GARDEN.

The opening starts off with Satoshi and Pikachu standing in a Pokémon stadium as the sunrises over the stands. In the top left corner the series mini description is displayed and it states: The mysterious creatures of this planet Pocket Monsters... "Pokémon" for short! Now, the story of a boy, Satoshi, and Pokémon, their meetings, adventures, and battles are about to begin! (この星の不思議な生き物 ポケットモンスター・・・ ちぢめてポケモン! 今、サトシと ポケモンたちの 出会いと冒険と 戦いの物語が はじまる!).

Satoshi's Kimori and Subame are then seen battling a Yarukimono and a Pelipper as Pikachu runs at a Guraena and uses Thunderbolt on it. The Thunderbolt fills the entire stadium as it shoots up high into the air. The smoke clears and Guraena is knocked out.

Haruka and her Pokémon make an appearance, followed by Takeshi and his new Pokémon. Masato is seen holding his Pokénav with the group on the edge of a cliff as they look down a a city as the sun sets.

In the next scene, Satoshi and his friends are running away from a rock bridge being destroyed by water and steam from a volcanic eruption. Groudon and Magma Gang make a quick appearance followed by Kyogre and Aqua Gang. Rocket Gang also shows up as Kojiro is yelling as his new Pokémon Sabonea is hugging him and Musashi is covering her ears.

Satoshi and friends are once again seen on a raft in the sea as a bunch of water Pokémon are shown. It transitions to Satoshi and his friends in a forest looking around and then in a cave.

The final scene shows Satoshi and Pikachu on a Pokémon battlefield high in the sky as Latios and Latias soar by them and Absol uses its attack to create a transition to the final sequence of Satoshi and his friends posing followed by the Pocket Monsters Advance Adventure logo.
