New DVD box sets have been announced in both Australia and North America. The third and final Sinnoh League Victors will be released in North America by Viz but not until September 4, 2012. Pre-order's on Amazon are currently $13.98.

Having already released all the Diamond and Pearl episodes on DVD in Australia, Magna Home Entertainment has announced that the second and final box set for the Pokémon: Black & White season will be released in just a couple weeks on June 6th, 2012. A DVD set of both of the 14th Pokémon movies will also be released in Germany but no Bluray combo set was announced, like it was in France. The DVD's have been added to our database. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online has completely changed its front-end client for players and has ditched the Flash version. Players can currently download the Windows beta version from the Pokémon TCG Online's site. A Macintosh version will be available at a later time.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online team has been hard at work rebuilding the game with new technology and a fresh look. The first game mode updated is the single-player Trainer Challenge, and the upgraded multiplayer modes are planned to enter beta in a few months.

To focus completely on the new features, further work on the current version of the Pokémon TCG Online will be halted. Plus, the Multiplayer—Expert and Multiplayer—Novice game modes will be disabled until the new version launches. You’ll still be able to access your card Collection, the Deck Builder, the Trading area, and the Player vs. AI game mode throughout the transition.

Note that during the transition, you’ll be able to claim booster credits from code cards found in booster packs of the Black & White—Dark Explorers expansion beginning on May 9th. You can redeem these credits immediately for any expansion from HeartGold & SoulSilver to Black & White—Next Destinies, and you’ll be able to redeem booster credits for Black & White—Dark Explorers cards later this summer, when the new multiplayer modes enter beta. Similarly, theme deck codes will unlock Black & White—Dark Explorers theme decks in the Trainer Challenge right away, but they will not show up in your Collection until the multiplayer open beta begins.

Mac Client

Due to the new version of the Trainer Challenge requiring a downloadable client, we opted to complete and test the Windows version of the game prior to porting and polishing a Mac version. We understand that including the Mac system requirements in the community update earlier this month was premature. We intended to indicate that the Mac client was in the works, but it appears that this message gave the community the impression that it would be launching at the same time as the Windows client. We apologize for this confusion.

The Mac client is scheduled to release later this year. We apologize for any disappointment this decision causes our Mac users and would like to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. We will provide schedule and development updates on the Mac version as the launch window comes more into focus.

American singer Donna Summer has died of cancer at the age of 63. She is best known to Pokémon fans for singing the song The Power of One which was used in the English dub movie Pokémon: The Movie 2000. Earlier this campaign year, Republican nomination candidate Herman Cain quoted lyrics from the song which garnered widespread attention as he initially misquoted where he got the lines from.

"Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith," the singer's family said in a statement issued Thursday, May 17th, 2012.

"While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time."

Story Outline

Your journey takes place in the Unova region two years after the events of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. You’ll start your adventure in Aspertia City, in the far southwest corner of the Unova region. Many things have changed in the region, including some extraordinary new places and people for you to discover. Plus, many of the returning characters from Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version have taken on new roles when you meet them.

Look forward to uncovering the mystery of Black Kyurem—or White Kyurem—somewhere in the Unova region. Little is known about this enigmatic Pokémon, except that it’s a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon with a devastating Ice-type attack—even stronger than Zekrom’s Fusion Bolt or Reshiram’s Fusion Flare!

Main Characters in Black 2 White 2

Returning in Black 2 White 2 are Bel and Cheren but both have taken up different roles as both have completed their journey's as two years have passed since the events of the first Black and White game. Bel has impressive red glasses and is now Dr. Araragi's assistant. She helps the players complete the Zukan and she visits the players in their hometown of Hiougi City (ヒオウギシティ) to give out one of the three starter Pokémon.

Cheren is now a Normal-type Gym Leader who holds a book in one hand and the player is able to battle against him. Bel and Cheren meet up for the first time in two years as the player goes to challenge him. Two years ago, N acted as the king of the Plasma Gang and even defeated the Champion Adeku. Now no one knows what has happened to N!

Returning Characters for the Pokémon World Tournament

Various Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members and Villains will be returning from previous games in Black 2 White 2 for the Pokémon World Tournament (ポケモンワールドトーナメント). Confirmed are: Kasumi, Takeshi, Daigo, Wataru, Shirona, Green, Denji, Sakaki, Erika, Anzu and Katsura. Players will be able to battle them in single and double battles.

PokéWood (ポケウッド)

is a term that combines Pokémon with Hollywood. The aim of this new game feature is to make a movie to attract an audience by making a scenario that would appeal to them. Players are given a variety of script options to choose from and film it in front of a green screen. After screening the movie, players are given reputation points for how well their movie did. A mechanical Bangiras seems to be a main feature in the creation of these movies.

Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Dream Radar and Pokédex 3D Pro will be released in North America and Europe in the fall of 2012. It's unfortunate that Pokémon AR Searcher was renamed to Pokémon Dream Radar for the actual English release of the game considering the title is already in English for the Japanese version.

Both titles will be available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop but will not be free. The prices were not announced but the original Pokédex 3D is currently free to all Nintendo 3DS users but will be pulled from the eShop when the Pro version launches.

Pokémon Dream Radar also includes some hard-to-get Pokémon, giving players even more incentive to catch them for their game. Pokédex 3D Pro is a fully enhanced and upgraded version of the original Pokédex 3D application. Pokédex 3D Pro also includes in-depth sorting, comparison and ranking tools, as well as comprehensive details on what abilities each Pokémon can learn and how it evolves. AR Searcher - Sacred Beast Formes Revealed

The official Japanese Pokémon AR Searcher website has revealed the new Sacred Beast Formes for Tornelos, Voltolos and Landlos. Players can capture them in the game and then transfer them over to Pokémon Black 2 or White 2. Below are the details.

A new professor has also been revealed for the game. Professor Burnet (バーネット博士) is named after the common name for Sanguisorba. She studies the Dream Interstice (夢のはざま), a mysterious space between dreams and reality, and the user can go there to search for Pokémon in order to aid her research.

The official Japanese Best Wishes website has been announced that Pocket Monsters Best Wishes (ポケットモンスター ベストウイッシュ) will end on June 14th, 2012 with a 1-hour special. On June 21st, 2012, Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 (ポケットモンスター ベストウイッシュ シーズン2) will debut. The new series will feature Satoshi continuing his journey in Isshu but many of his old acquaintances will also return for the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup.

Series Summary

After reuniting with the Champion of the Sinnoh region, Shirona, Satoshi and his friends join her and travel towards the eastern part of the Isshu region, "East Isshu". There, they encounter a lot of Pokémon not found in the Isshu region, like Kairyu, Riolu and Eievui, as well as Satoshi's travelmates from his adventure in the Sinnoh region, Hikari, Pochama and Hikari's other Pokémon. Additionally, the mythical Pokémon Meloetta joins up with Satoshi and the others on their adventure. The "Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup", where the winner gets to battle Adeku, the Champion of the Isshu region, begins as well. Satoshi and his friends obviously sign up, as does Shirona and Elite Four Member Cattleya. In addition, a new rival appears before Satoshi, and the Boss Sakaki unveils the greatest operation in the Rocket Gang's history. Lots and lots of upcoming events lie waiting!

In BW81 - Sekka Gym Match! A Battlefield of Ice!! (セッカジム戦！　氷のバトルフィールド！！) which airs on May 17th, 2012, Meloetta (メロエッタ) will make its anime debut in the new ending Look at this (Mitemite☆Kotchitchi みてみて☆こっちっち). It will also be featured in this years movie short Meloetta's Sparkling Recital (メロエッタのキラキラリサイタル).


In BW84 - Movie Showdown! The Isshu Defense Force Goes into Action!! (映画対決！出撃イッシュ防衛隊！！), a mechanical Bangiras (バンギラス) will rampage into action as Satoshi once again helps make a movie with Luke.


The final episode of Best Wishes will air on June 14st, 2012 with Gym Leader Homika making an appearance.

The official Korean website has announced that Bolteuroseu (볼트로스) and Toneroseu (토네로스) will be distributed via the Korean Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from May 14th, 2012 @ 10:00 until July 5th, 2012 @ 23:59. Like the Japanese distribution, the Pokémon are being distributed to promote the two anime episodes Tornelos VS Voltolos VS Landlos! that air on Tooniverse May 24th, 2012. Players of Pokémon Black can receive Bolteuroseu while players of Pokémon White can receive Toneroseu.


Bolteuroseu (볼트로스) is level 70, is holding a Revival Herb and knows: Thunder, Hammer Arm, Focus Blast and Wild Charge while Toneroseu (토네로스) is also level 70, is holding a Revival Herb and knows: Hurricane, Hammer Arm, Air Slash and Hidden Power.

Earlier this campaign year, Republican nomination candidate Herman Cain quoted lyrics from the Donna Summer song The Power of One which was used in the English dub movie Pokémon: The Movie 2000. Now Jason Paige, the singer of the original English dub theme song for the Pokémon anime has remixed his original song to promote Republican nomination candidate Ron Paul and posted it on YouTube.

Jason Paige said on his YouTube comments that: "The Pokemon theme is a perfect song for the Ron Paul Revolution, as he racks up the delegates. Almost all the original lyrics fit as is. I Sang the original theme song in 1998 and thought this would be a great update on a classic. Share if you care. There are MILLIONS of Pokemon fans who'll join the revolution. Go Ron Paul!"
