Keanan works at a natural wetlands area in the Kalos region. He identified Ash's Goodra as Ash's Goomy, the Goomy that used to live in the wetlands. He explained to Ash Ketchum and his friends that Ash's Goomy used to live in those wetlands in peace with its friends, but a disturbance occurred over a spring in the area that has a soothing effect on a Pokémon's mind and body.

Keanan has a station in the wetlands which he maintains along with a boardwalk. He believe that humans should not interfere with wild Pokémon.
