The episode began with the Smash cast sitting at their desks as Robert walk in dressed in black suits and greet everyone with the customary "PokéMorning" greeting. The then explain that the entire episode is a Memorial Special with Broadcasts of the PokéSma Members' First Appearances, Nostalgic Clips and Lots of Memorable Comedy Bits from the past 9 years of Pokémon Sunday and Pokémon Smash. There was no anime rerun in this episode.

The first clip featured the introduction of TIM and Robert in the 3rd episode of Pokémon Sunday which aired on October 17th, 2004. At the time, Pokémon Sunday was only a half an hour show and it would alternate weeks where it would be a live action episode featuring Pokémon Research or it would showcase a rerun of the anime. Golgo introduces himself and is greeted by Becky but as he walks up to the desk he trips and falls. He then regroups and sits at his desk.

Baba is next and is sporting his green hair and then finally Akiyama. Profressor Red shows up but spewing flour out of his mouth so Becky has to introduce him. He shows off his new invention the RED-001: uchukaman (宇宙華まん), a pun based off of 中華まん which is chukaman and 宇宙 which is uchuu (Japanese for space). The next clip features Akiyama dressing up as Taisei Nanasawa's(七澤太盛) mom to try to trick him. Baba and Yamamoto watched remotely to get a good laugh. Shortly after a clip from Sunday #225 is shown which featured Robert's Surprise Quiz. The obstacle race required them to get a monster ball out of water, eat a wasabi roll and then get a hard foot massage.

In Smash #130 which aired on April 8th, 2007, did a segment where he familiarized himself with the 4th Generation of Pokémon by completely immersing himself in Pokémon Life. Four years later, Akiyama once again had to familiarize himself with the 5th Generation of Pokémon in Pokémon Smash #18. He was given tests to see how well he had learned the Pokémon. Pokémon Smash #67 also featured Misaki having to immerse herself in Pokémon training as a member of the Smash Elite Four.

A running gag throughout the series has been to feed Yamamoto Squid Ink. He really dislikes it as it gets his mouth all black. Short clips of the various times throughout the series was shown.

Returning back to Professor Red, his second invention the RED 002 was prominently used in Pokémon Sunday #4 and Akiyama famously used the device to smell poo in a bucket. Then the RED 006 "The Achooinger" (ハクショリンガー) was shown from Pokémon Sunday #12. First Baba used the device to make him sneeze and then Akiyama did as well but ended up coughing/choking twice. Then the RED 052 Face-to-face LEGEND (顔合わせレジェンド) from Pokémon Sunday #261 was shown. The device mixed and matched the faces of the Pokémon Sunday crew to make funny looking new faces.

After the commercial break, Robert introduced a VTR called Experience the changing world of the games (ゲームの世界を体験変). In Pokémon Sunday #152, Yamamoto and Akiyama dressed up as Hikozaru and Pochama from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness games and reenacted scenes from the games. Then to promote the launch of Super Pokémon Scramble (スーパーポケモンスクランブル) on August 11th, 2011, Robert in Pokémon Smash #43 went out on a Adventure Division Battle Royale as Toy Pokémon. Later on in 2011 in Pokémon Smash #58, to promote the new game PokéPark 2 Beyond the World (ポケパーク2 ビヨンド・ザ・ワールド), Misaki dressed up as Pikachu while Baba dressed up as Tsutarja, Akiyama dressed up as Pokabu and Yamamoto dressed up as Mijumaru. They went around and did various activities to show what it would be like to play the game.

Card battles also played a large part of the series. Various clips were quickly shown to give viewers an idea of some of the things they did for card attacks when they played them out in real life. The clip featuring Misaki going through 5 V doors to emulate the TCG attack V-Generate was from Pokémon Smash #36.+

The next VTR segment was called the Popular Character Volume (人気キャラクター編). Director Lucario, Marketing Division Mijumaru, Director Zoroark, Yamirami, Leader Kimori and Hikozaru all played different roles throughout both series. Various clips of these characters were shown. Whenever Robert needed a bad guy for their skits, Reoccurring Regular Guest Big Man (番組準レギュラー 大きな男) was always there to beat them down or toss them around. Handsome Yamamoto also made a number of appearances. Akiyama Victini also became a popular reoccuring character during the Smash era. Victini Yamamoto showed up in Smash #66, but quickly changed the "V" on its head upside down to make a "へ (he)", thus transforming into へ Yamamoto.

The Eievui Akiyama Friends (イーブイ秋山フレンズ) segment became popular in the summer of 2013 on Pokémon Smash to promote the Movie 16 short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends (ピカチュウとイーブイフレンズ). Akiyama dressed up as all the Eievui evolutions and did various skits from the Eievui house. Shoko-tan later joined in some of the skits as Nymphia. Yadon Akiyama was also a popular character in Pokémon Sunday but it made a special return in Pokémon Smash #53 at the Tokyo Pokémon Center to visit Marina Yamazaki (山崎真梨奈) who is a big fan of Yadon Akiyama.

Faceman then made a in-studio appearance and after the commercial break another segment was introduced as the Shock Scene Volume (衝撃シーン編). First, the scene from Pokémon Sunday #289 where Professor Akido takes Baba and Yamamoto curling is shown. Akido was trying to see how well they can take on the form of curling stones and a relatively successful match was held using humans in place of stones. Then a clip of Yamamoto being squished by Heat Stamp (ヒートスタンプ) was shown which was from Pokémon Smash #128.

Another running gag on the show was Shoko-tan's cooking. She always like to experiment with her cooking by adding exotic ingredients and then get one of the cast members to try it out. Eventually they caught on to her bad cooking and refused to try her food. In the beginning though, her cookies made Yamamoto faint, her Giza Giza Gelatin (ギザギザゼリー) made of Red Peppers (唐辛子), mustard (カラシ) and wasabi (ワサビ) was inflicted upon Golgo and her Giza Giza Dessert Pot with Miso flavoring (ギザギザデザート鍋 みそ味) was not enjoyed by Akiyama.

To emulate the attack, Baba put a lot of almonds in his mouth and spit them out when Yamamoto called for the attack. It took them a few times to do the scene as Baba had a hard spitting them out.

Another running gag on the show was Akiyama drawing Yamamoto's mother. He always drew horrible pictures which made it impossible for anyone to actually figure out what he was drawing. Akiyama always had to point out that it was a picture of Yamamoto's mother. In Pokémon Smash #68, Yamamoto's mother came on the show.

After the commercial break, the Final Big Event segment was shown. Pokémon The Park 2005 was the feature of Pokémon Sunday #30 as TIM went to visit it and try out all the rides. Pokémon Quiz Master was a two part event that aired in September of 2005 during Pokémon Sunday #49 and #50. Two years later in September of 2007, the Pokémon Quiz Revolution also aired as a two part event during Pokémon Sunday #154 and #155. For the 11th Pocket Monsters movie, Red Yoshida got to voice the character Moose (ムース) and a clip of him doing the recording was shown. Robert had voice acting roles in the previous movie while Shoko-tan had voiced multiple characters. Golgo also got to voice Jibacoil in the 11th movie. The 'Pokémon Cosplay Photo' Grand Prix too place in Pokémon Smash #301 while Pokémon Smash #100 was dedicated to the Pokémon Movie 15th Anniversary Event 'Pikachu the Live 2012'.
