Scans from the latest issue of the Japanese magazine CoroCoro have be posted on 2ch. Lots of new information has been revealed about the upcoming games Heart Gold & Soul Silver which are due to be released in Japan on September 12th. It also announced that the new Mystery Dungeon games for the Wii will be released on August 4th, 2009. Each game will cost 1,200 Wii points.

New Information

  • Pokéthlon (ポケスロン) minigames have been added and can be played by using the touch screen. Pokémon are rated based on Speed, Stamina, Power & Jump.

  • Dash Battle (ダッシュバトル), Bound Field (バウンドフィールド), Ring Out Fight (リングアウトファイト) & Shooting Snow (シューティングスノー) are the currently known Pokéthlon minigames.

  • Dash Battle (ダッシュバトル): Dash Battle is a hurdle running event where three Pokémon race against each other. Tapping the screen allows the Pokémon to jump over the hurdle.

  • Bound Field (バウンドフィールド): Bound Field is a trampoline jumping competition where Pokémon attempt to hit as many targets as they can.

  • Ring Out Fight (リングアウトファイト): Ring Out Fight is a battle arena game where Pokémon fight against each other to knock the opponent out.

  • Shooting Snow (シューティングスノー): Pokémon use snowballs as ammunition.

  • The legendary Pokémon Entei, Raikou and Suicune will be available and will be level 40.

  • The PokéGear returns with Phone, Map, Radio and Itemfinder applications.

  • The Kimono Girls: Sakura (サクラ), Koume (コウメ ), Tamao (タマオ), Sumomo (スモモ), and Satsuki (サツキ) return and will play a key role in the overall story.
  • The Mystery Dungeon games for the Wii will be in 3D.

  • Jagged-eared Pichu knows: Volt Tackle (ボルテッカー), Helping Hand (てだすけ), Swagger (いばる) and Pain Split (いたみわけ).
