Niantic has released Pokémon GO Android Version 0.211.3 and iOS Version 177.3 on June 22nd, 2021. The patch includes updates and seems to help alleviate the lag and frame rate issues many players were experiencing over the past week.

The Pokémon HOME app has announced that there will be compatibility changes for the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME for the planned June 2021 update. Support for older versions of Android and iOS will no longer be supported.

Thank you very much for your continued support of Pokémon HOME. This notice is to inform you that the planned June update will end support for Pokémon HOME on the following mobile operating systems and devices.

Note: To check what OSes are compatible with your device, please consult sources such as the device manufacturer's official website. Following the update, there may be other devices on which Pokémon HOME may function imperfectly or stop working entirely. It may take time for Pokémon HOME to become compatible with newly released OSes.

Customers considering changing devices should link Pokémon HOME to a Nintendo Account in order to carry over their information. You can see whether you have already linked to a Nintendo Account by opening the Options menu and checking the Account tab.

Pokémon HOME - Version 1.4.0 - June 17th, 2021

The details of the Pokémon HOME - Version 1.4.0 update for smartphones have been announced.

What's New

- Pokédex features have been expanded, allowing you to view Pokémon's appearances from various angles.
Note: This feature does not apply to certain forms of Pokémon.
- The Catch Calendar feature has been added to the main menu, allowing you to view your Pokémon in order of the dates on which they were caught.
- New icons for user profiles have been added.
- Announcement display has been improved.
- Other issues have also been addressed in order to ensure a user-friendly experience.

The official Pokémon website has announced development updates for Pokémon UNITE and that residents of Canada will get to play a beta version of it starting in March 2021. Canadian residents can signup for the beta now at the Google Play store.

Pokémon UNITE Development Update and Regional Beta Test in Canada for Android Users

Canadian residents can go hands-on with the upcoming game.

Since the first reveal of Pokémon UNITE nearly a year ago, development has continued to progress. More playable Pokémon have been added, changes and additions have been made to the gameplay, the visuals have improved, and much more.

That said, there's still plenty to be done to ensure the best possible experience. Now the developers are looking to Pokémon fans to help deliver that experience by participating in a regional beta test in Canada. This March, players in Canada will have their first opportunity to play Pokémon UNITE. While the game is planned to release for Apple and Android devices and Nintendo Switch, this beta test will be limited to Android devices.

Interested Trainers can visit the Pokémon UNITE page in the Google Play Store for details and to register for a chance to participate.

Eligibility details:

  • The Pokémon UNITE regional beta test is open only to residents of Canada.
  • Players must be at least 16 years old to participate.
  • In-game progress will be reset upon the beta's completion.
  • Capture or streaming of gameplay is not allowed during the regional beta test.

A new update for Pokémon HOME is now available for the iOS and Android versions. Our Pokémon HOME Patches page has been updated with the details.

Pokémon HOME - Version 1.3.2 - Patch Notes

  • A "Receive all Pokémon" feature has been added to the Wonder Box.
  • The date a Pokémon was first met is now displayed in its Trainer notes.
  • From the "OT" (Original Trainer) field in a Pokémon's detailed information, you can now search for Pokémon with the same original Trainer.
  • You can now specify "Language" and "Poké Ball" when searching for Pokémon.
  • You can now arrange your list of Pokémon in the same order used by your Pokémon Boxes in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME.(Note: This option will be available only for users who have linked to the Nintendo Switch version.)
  • Other issues have also been addressed in order to ensure a user-friendly experience.

A new set of Pokémon LINE stamp called Irasutoya × Pokémon Pika Pika Stamp (いらすとや×ポケモン ぴかぴかスタンプ) is now available in the stamp shop! These stamps feature Pokémon and trainers from the Nintendo Switch games Pocket Monsters Sword and Shield. The illustrations were drawn by Takashi Mifune, an illustrator known for his work on the free material site Irasutoya. These stamps are not only for everyday use, but also depict scenes from the game. Take advantage of the stamps and use the LINE stamps in your chats! The 40 stamp set costs 250 yen (including tax) or 100 coins per set and is available as of November 3rd, 2020. The stamp shop is only available on the iOS and Android versions of LINE.

Niantic has posted the release notes for the Pokémon GO version 0.191 update which was released on October 29th, 2020.

Updates

  • In Trainer Battles, the switch menu has been replaced by two buttons on the right side of the screen to more easily access the Pokémon you can switch to during your battles
  • In Trainer Battles, the switch animation camera angle has shifted so that you are able to see your Pokémon's HP bar when your opponent is switching their Pokémon
  • Soon, battle parties will be saved on your account itself instead of on your device, meaning they’ll be synced when you reinstall the game or change devices
  • The Flying-type Charged Attack mini-game has been slightly slowed down
  • You can now navigate from a Pokémon’s detail page directly to its Pokédex entry
  • You can now navigate from a Pokédex entry directly to the Pokémon storage to see all Pokémon you have of that species
  • Soon, you’ll be able to see more information about the Pokémon you obtain on the Pokémon detail page. Note that this will not backfill information on Pokémon you’ve obtained prior to this feature.
  • A new loading screen has been added

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused invited friends to be removed from a raid if all Pokémon in their battle party faint
  • Fixed an issue that caused the “Remove Friend” button to be cut off from the bottom of the Friend detail page on devices with certain aspect ratios
  • Fixed an issue that caused Adventure Sync to not work on some devices on Android 9 and below
  • Fixed a visual error that showed eggs to be incubating when tapping on them from the Egg menu, regardless of whether they were in incubators or not
  • Fixed an issue that caused the app to freeze when collecting Avatar items from Special Research rewards
  • Fixed an issue that caused wins to not be recorded properly in GO Battle League
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Best Buddy Pokémon CP boost to not be applied without first interacting with your buddy
  • Fixed an issue that caused the account linking option to be missing from the Settings Menu

Niantic has annnounced that Pokémon GO players that have devices that use Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11, as well as iPhone 5s and iPhone 6, will no longer be able to play the game after an update in October 2020.

Pokémon GO to discontinue support for Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11, as well as iPhone 5s and iPhone 6

Trainers, In an upcoming update to Pokémon GO in October, we will end support for Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11, as well as iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 devices. Only Trainers with devices running Android 5, iOS 10, or iOS 11, as well as Trainers with iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 devices, will be affected by this change. Trainers with devices or operating systems not specifically listed here will not be affected and don’t need to take any action.

If you're unsure whether your device falls in one of these categories, please check with your device manufacturer.

Trainers using affected devices will no longer be able to access Pokémon GO, including any accumulated PokeCoins or collected items on their accounts, when the version 0.189 update goes live in mid-October. We encourage Trainers using any of the listed devices to consider upgrading them if they wish to continue playing Pokémon GO. Be sure to have your account info and password saved somewhere so you can log back in on a new device!

Note: Even if you’re able to install and run Pokémon GO on such devices after the release of version 0.189, we’ll no longer be able to provide support if you run into any technical issues.

The official Pokémon website has announced that Pokémon Rumble Rush service had ended and can no longer be played as of July 22nd, 2020. The game was announced on May 15th, 2019 and was released worldwide on May 22nd, 2019 on Android and July 23rd, 2019 on iOS.

Pokémon Rumble Rush Service Ending

The mobile game is no longer available and game service has ended.

Pokémon Rumble Rush has been retired and services for the mobile game have ended. From this point on, you cannot install it for the first time or update this app. You also cannot play any previously installed version of the app. Additionally, unused Poké Diamonds can no longer be used or redeemed.

The Pokémon Company has announced during their June 17th, 2020 Pokémon Presents that another broadcast would take place on June 24th, 2020 at 6 a.m. PDT / 9 a.m. EST. In July 2019, it was announced that China’s Tencent Games and the The Pokémon Company formed a partnership to develop a new game which turned out to be Pokémon UNITE. Tokyo, JAPAN—June 24, 2020—Today during a Pokémon Presents video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, unveiled Pokémon UNITE, a new game for the Nintendo Switch™ system and mobile devices. Pokémon UNITE is being developed in partnership with Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios.

Pokémon UNITE is the first strategic Pokémon team battle game. Players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. YouTube Downvote Conspiracy

The originally uploaded videos for Pokémon Unite were taken down on July 9th, 2020 officially "Due to inaccuracy in the footage" according to the official Pokémon Singapore YouTube channel. Unofficially, the video had hundreds of thousands of dislikes before it was removed. Many believe that the video was re-uploaded a couple weeks after to quietly remove the down votes that the video had received.

  • Added the new Battle Royale feature. We’re adding Battle Royale, a new auto battling tournament for four teams of three Pokémon each. Battle Royale have their own Swap Shops where you can get a range of items.
