Nintendo of America has announced that an update for Pokémon HOME to support for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet is coming in early 2023. You can bring the following to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet:

Certain Pokémon you’ve journeyed with in past Pokémon games.

Nintendo announced their Earnings Release: Nine Months Ended December 31, 2022 on February 7th, 2023. Looking at the Nintendo Switch business during this time, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet got off to a strong start, recording total sales of 20.61 million units during the period.

Nintendo announced that the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Version 1.1.0 was posted online on December 1st, 2022. They also confirmed the games' performance issues and stated they are working on improving it, hopefully in a future patch. Nintendo announced today that global sales of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games for the Nintendo Switch family of systems have surpassed 10 million combined units* in the first three days since their worldwide launch on Nov. 18, 2022. This is the highest global sales level for any software on any Nintendo platform within the first three days.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the latest mainline games in the Pokémon series, releasing three years after the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games, also for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo announced their Fiscal Year Ending March 2023 Six Months Earnings Release on November 8th, 2022. Going forward, they are looking to continue working on maintaining the sales momentum towards the holiday season by releasing compelling titles such as Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

Unit sales for the Nintendo Switch family of systems declined by 19.2% year-on-year to 6.68 million units in the first half, affected by factors including the semiconductor shortage.

Yep, it’s true—the next Splatfest in the Splatoon™ 3 game is going to be a Splatoon x Pokémon collaboration. Splatfests are special, limited time events in Splatoon 3. The Splatsville hub area gets decorated in a fancy way, and players with any Nintendo Switch™ Online membership can choose to champion one of three causes. After you make your choice, you’ll participate in Splatfest Battles, where the goal is to ink as much of the stage as you can without getting splatted too often. At the end of the event, the winning side will be revealed, and in-game goodies will be handed out (with the winning side getting more, of course).

Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Snap will be available on the Nintendo Switch Online Service + Expansion Pack on June 24th, 2022. The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is a paid membership service that allows members to play a library of Nintendo 64 games.

Catching Pokémon™ is a snap! Travel to Pokémon Island and meet Professor Oak to begin a safari to take the best possible photographs of over 60 different Pokémon. The Pokémon Snap™game, originally released for the Nintendo 64 system, will be available on 6/24 for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Nintendo has announced that the Version 1.3.0 update is available for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl as of March 15th, 2022.


On March 15th, 2022, a new software update for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the internet.

Complete these steps

1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
2. Return to the HOME Menu and launch the game.
3. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
4. Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.

• Added an event related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
  • If a user on a Nintendo Switch system has save data from Pokémon Legends: Arceus that meets set requirements, that player can take part in a special event to meet the Mythical Pokémon Arceus when playing the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl games.
