Earn a Shiny Zeraora and Armorite Ore in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield

If one million Trainers defeat Zeraora in a Max Raid Battle, players can receive a special Pokémon along with items that will be useful in The Isle of Armor.

The Isle of Armor, the first part of the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, has arrived! To celebrate the release of this new chapter in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield adventure, players of those games can participate in Max Raid Battles against the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora.

From Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. PDT until Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, Zeraora will appear in Max Raid Battles, so gather your friends as you attempt to take down this Mythical Pokémon. Zeraora has the potential to appear in three-star Max Raid Battles or higher, and in five-star Max Raid Battles, there's a chance that you'll encounter an especially powerful Shiny Zeraora. You won't be able to catch Zeraora after it's defeated, but if at least one million Trainers manage to defeat Zeraora during this special event, a Shiny Zeraora will be available to everyone in Pokémon HOME.

In addition to Shiny Zeraora, every player who takes part in these Max Raid Battles will receive a piece of Armorite Ore for every hundred thousand Trainers that defeat Zeraora after the first million is reached (up to a maximum of 10 pieces). Armorite Ore can be used in the dojo on the Isle of Armor to have your Pokémon learn moves.

If the target numbers are reached, you'll be able to claim your Shiny Zeraora and Armorite Ore via the Mystery Gifts menu in the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME from Monday, June 29, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. PDT until Monday, July 6, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Note that you don't have to have the Expansion Pass to encounter or receive Zeraora. In order to claim these gifts, you must also meet the following condition:

You must have deposited a Pokémon in Pokémon HOME or moved a Pokémon to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield from Pokémon HOME between Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. PDT and Monday, July 6, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

Note: Linking with Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is a feature available only in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME. For more details, please visit the Pokémon HOME section of the Pokémon Support website.

Assemble your best team to battle this Electric-type Mythical Pokémon, and help players from all over the world reach one million victories! And be sure to check out The Isle of Armor, the first part of the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, available now!

Players who purchase the Expansion Pass soon after the launch of The Isle of Armor expansion (or players who have already prepurchased it) will be able to receive Leon’s cap and tights as an early-purchase bonus.

Players will be able to receive these items after the release of The Isle of Armor (June 2020) until 7:59 a.m. PDT on Monday, August 31.

  2. Select Mystery Gift.
  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get via Internet*
Remember that you can change your clothes in the fitting room of any boutique.

The Mystery Gift menu option will appear in the X menu after you visit your first Pokémon Center in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. (This occurs after about an hour of gameplay. However, individual gameplay time may vary.)

An internet connection is required to receive the above items.
A Nintendo Switch Online membership (paid) is not required to receive the above items.
You can see the clothing items you’ve received by visiting a boutique fitting room.
Those who purchased the Expansion Pass before the above items were revealed will still be able to receive these items after the release of The Isle of Armor.

If you purchase the Expansion Pass, you’ll be able to receive a Pikachu Uniform and an Eevee Uniform as a special purchase bonus. One code per person; this code is not for resale. Games and system sold separately. Content distribution may be offered via online services at a future date. Gifts may become unavailable after a certain amount of time has passed since the release of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Upon purchase of the Expansion Pass, an email with your codes will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your codes.

If you didn’t receive the email, or if you accidentally deleted it, please log in to the Nintendo Account with which you purchased the Expansion Pass using a personal computer or smart device. You will be able to check the codes in the usage records found in the shop menu.

The Mystery Gift menu option will appear in your game after you visit your first Pokémon Center. (This occurs after about one hour of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.)

A Nintendo Switch Online membership (paid) is not required.

You will get one code for the Pikachu Uniform and one code for the Eevee Uniform. Each can only be redeemed in a single save file. You won’t be able to use these codes to claim the same outfit in multiple save files.
