Captain Pikachu Talking Clock Alarm

It's an alarm clock that wakes you up with Captain Pikachu's cheerful voice. Not only will you learn how to read a clock, but the design will make you want to display it in your room.

There are 5 different voices including: "Pika〜ka Pika Pika!" and "Pika Pika! Pika, Pikachu!" Since it plays randomly, you'll be looking forward to hearing what voice wakes you up every morning. When you can't wake up, it switches to Captain Pikachu's "Move voice". If you wake up properly, Captain Pikachu will praise you!

*Uses 2 AAA batteries (sold separately).

Gyarados is swimming into the battle on January 25th, 2024 in Pokémon UNITE!

Magikarp Evolves into Gyarados in Pokémon UNITE

Splash around until you’re ready to show your Moxie with the Atrocious Pokémon on Aeos Island. Are you ready to make a splash in your next match on Aeos Island? Look no further than the powerfully pathetic Fish Pokémon Magikarp. Though it is said to be the world’s weakest Pokémon, Magikarp can fill its effort gauge through brave contributions in battle to evolve into the mighty Gyarados—no Exp. Points required! Dream big and prove to your teammates that if they can’t handle you at your Magikarp, they don’t deserve you at your Gyarados.

You can obtain a Unite license for the Melee All-Rounder Gyarados for 14,000 Aeos coins or 575 Aeos gems at the Unite Battle Committee shop. Gyarados will only be obtainable with Aeos gems for the first seven days of its release. Read on to learn more about this Pokémon before flopping onto Aeos Island.

Gyarados Basics

Ability: Rattled (Magikarp) - When Magikarp is damaged by an opposing Pokémon, its movement speed is increased for a short time. This effect can stack up to five times. Each time Magikarp knocks out an opposing Pokémon, scores a goal, or otherwise makes a contribution in battle, its effort gauge increases. Once the effort gauge is full, Magikarp evolves into Gyarados.

Ability: Moxie (Gyarados) - When Gyarados knocks out an opposing Pokémon or makes an assist, all of its move cooldowns are reduced.

Basic Attack (Magikarp) - Magikarp attacks nearby Pokémon, dealing increased damage.

Basic Attack (Gyarados) - With every third attack, Gyarados’s basic attack becomes a boosted attack and deals increased damage.

Lv. 1 & 3 Moves

Flail - Magikarp flails about, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. The lower Magikarp’s remaining HP, the more damage Flail deals.

Splash - Magikarp jumps to the designated location. A maximum of three uses can be kept in reserve for this move.

Moves Learned upon Evolving

Dragon Breath - Gyarados exhales a mighty gust, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and leaving them paralyzed. If Gyarados hits an opposing Pokémon with this move, Gyarados’s basic attacks are boosted for a short time, dealing increased damage with increased basic attack speed. The more opposing Pokémon hit by this move (up to a maximum of three), the greater the basic attack speed increase. Dragon Breath can be upgraded to increase the damage dealt by this move and basic attacks.

Aqua Tail - Gyarados swings its tail continuously for a set amount of time. If this move hits opposing Pokémon three times, this move can be used again. This second stage of the move has the user charge power, then sweep its tail to attack a wider area. If Gyarados charges power for a set amount of time or longer before attacking, the move’s area of effect is increased, and it deals increased damage. Aqua Tail can be upgraded so that the second stage of the move deals additional damage based on the percentage of HP opposing Pokémon have lost.

Waterfall - Gyarados charges three times in a row at awesome speed, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits. Gyarados can change direction between each charge. If the second charge hits an opposing Pokémon, Gyarados is granted a shield. If the third charge hits an opposing Pokémon, the opposing Pokémon is thrown. Waterfall can be upgraded to reduce its cooldown.

Bounce - Gyarados charges power, then bounces to the designated location and attacks. The longer power is charged, the farther that Gyarados can bounce. If power is charged for a certain amount of time or longer, Gyarados is granted a shield when it bounces and also applies a movement speed decrease to opposing Pokémon it hits when it lands. Bounce can be upgraded to strengthen the effect of the shield granted by this move.

Gyarados’s Unite Move, Dragon Current

Gyarados dives underwater, where it can’t attack or be targeted by opposing Pokémon. When this move is used again, Gyarados leaps up forcefully and attacks. If Gyarados stays underwater for a set amount of time, it creates a whirlpool where it surfaces, applying a continuous slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If Gyarados stays underwater for an even longer amount of time, it creates a waterspout where it surfaces, throwing opposing Pokémon it hits.

Metagame Watch

Strong Against: Decidueye - Decidueye is a powerful Ranged Attacker that can do plenty of damage from a long distance with Spirit Shackle, but it often falls prey to powerful Pokémon that can quickly close the gap between themselves and the Arrow Quill Pokémon. Gyarados is one of these powerful Pokémon—its Bounce move takes time to charge, but ultimately allows Gyarados to travel a long distance and decrease Decidueye’s movement speed. Its Unite Move, Dragon Current, is also adept at quickly catching up to Decidueye and instantly throwing it, spelling doom for the Ranged Attacker’s low durability once Gyarados starts landing basic attack after basic attack.

Weak Against: Umbreon - Melee Pokémon usually hate two things: Ranged Attackers with high mobility and Defenders with powerful hindrances. Umbreon is the latter, with Foul Play, Mean Look, and Snarl all presenting troublesome hindrances for Gyarados and its basic attacks. Umbreon can use these moves to either protect its teammates or lock down Gyarados for a key KO. Players using Gyarados will want to avoid direct confrontations with Umbreon and take advantage of more chaotic team fights.

Mythical Pokémon Discovered in Kitakami

Mysterious Shop Decoration Is Actually a Pokémon Tied to Kitakami’s Past. Epilogue for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero available to play now!

Claim a Mythical Pecha Berry and Head to the Land of Kitakami

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero epilogue is available to play now. To play it, you will first need to complete a certain postgame event in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game, as well as complete the stories of Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk. You will also need to claim a Mythical Pecha Berry via Mystery Gift* in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. Once you’ve received your gift, head to Mossui Town in the land of Kitakami and drop by Peachy’s – the alluring aroma of your Mythical Pecha Berry might cause something special to happen...

Pecharunt

What appeared to be a mere shop decoration was actually Pecharunt – dormant, but patiently waiting to be reawakened.

This Pokémon rolls up poison secreted from its shell to make Binding Mochi, which it serves to people and Pokémon. Pecharunt then uses chains to control those who eat its Binding Mochi, which is not only delicious but also appears to draw out the deepest desires and latent powers of those who eat it. Pecharunt can also be very sly. For example, it will feign weakness by weeping and acting like a baby to gain the sympathy of others. There is a theory that long ago, Pecharunt travelled to the land of Kitakami together with the Loyal Three, each of whom it had subjugated using its Binding Mochi – all to obtain certain masks coveted by an elderly couple who cared for Pecharunt.

Pecharunt found itself embroiled in battle with Ogerpon over the masks – ultimately resulting in Pecharunt’s defeat. It withdrew into its shell and, over time, became known to the locals as the Never-Rotting Peach.

Category: Subjugation Pokémon
Type: Poison/Ghost
Height: 1' (0.3 m)
Weight: 0.7 lbs. (0.3 kg)Ability: Poison Puppeteer

Pecharunt’s Ability, Poison Puppeteer, is a new Ability introduced in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. This Ability causes Pokémon that are poisoned or badly poisoned by Pecharunt’s moves to also become confused. Pecharunt’s signature move, Malignant Chain, is an attack which launches a chain made of poison that may also leave its target badly poisoned.

To learn more information about The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, please visit Pokemon.co.uk/ScarletViolet. *While those who have only purchased Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet will be able to receive the Mythical Pecha Berry, you will need to have purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero in order to play the epilogue. You need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet to claim this gift. To connect to the internet, your user profile must be linked to a Nintendo Account. Metagross analyzes the situation when it comes to Pokémon UNITE on December 26th, 2023.

YouTube Clip - Metagross Moves Overview | Pokémon UNITE

Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j16zA6q-Cqc

Metagross Is Now Available in Pokémon UNITE

Steel yourself for long, drawn-out team fights with this durable Melee All-Rounder. Metagross is Meteor Mashing its way into Pokémon UNITE! This Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon is the final Evolution of Beldum, a Pokémon first encountered in the Hoenn region. Now, this classic Pokémon is staking its claim on Aeos Island as a bulky Melee All-Rounder. Starting each match as Beldum, this powerful Pokémon evolves into Metang at Lv. 4 and Metagross at Lv. 6. You can obtain Metagross for 14,000 Aeos coins or 575 Aeos gems at the Unite Battle Committee shop. Metagross will only be obtainable with Aeos gems for the first seven days of its release.

Metagross Basics

Ability: Clear Body - Reduces the duration of hindrance effects on this Pokémon when Pokémon from the opposing team are nearby. The more Pokémon from the opposing team there are, the more the duration of hindrance effects is reduced.

Basic Attack - The Pokémon’s basic attacks become boosted attacks with every third attack, striking with an increased area of attack. When this Pokémon hits an opposing Pokémon with a boosted attack, the cooldown of Iron Defense, Meteor Mash, or Gyro Ball is reduced. When this Pokémon hits two or more opposing Pokémon with this boosted attack, the moves’ cooldowns will be reduced even more.

Lv. 1 & 3 Moves

Iron Defense - Beldum is granted a shield, and its next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. Tackle - Beldum scans to see if there is an opposing Pokémon in front of it. If there is, Beldum charges toward that opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to it.

Lv. 5 Moves

Meteor Mash - Metagross charges power in its fist, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in an area of effect while granting itself a shield. The more opposing Pokémon this move hits, the more the shield effect is strengthened and the more damage Metagross deals with its next basic attack. This next basic attack hits with a hard punch fired like a meteor, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. Meteor Mash can be upgraded to restore Metagross’s HP when the punch hits an opposing Pokémon.

Gyro Ball - Metagross spins rapidly, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. When the outer edge of the spin hits an opposing Pokémon, Metagross is granted a shield. If Gyro Ball hits multiple wild or opposing Pokémon, the shield effect becomes stronger. Gyro Ball can be upgraded so that if the shield effect remains for a set amount of time, Metagross recovers the same amount of HP as the remaining shield effect.

Lv. 7 Moves

Zen Headbutt - Metagross fires a psychic wave in a forward direction. If this move hits an opposing Pokémon, Metagross then charges toward the Pokémon hit, dealing damage and throwing them. Zen Headbutt can be upgraded to reduce damage taken from opposing Pokémon for a short time after Metagross deals damage.
Magnet Rise - Metagross levitates for a set amount of time using electrically-generated magnetism, increasing its movement speed. If Metagross performs a basic attack while levitating, it falls on the ground forcefully, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon and throwing them. Magnet Rise can be upgraded so that Metagross receives reduced damage from opposing Pokémon while levitating.

Metagross’s Unite Move, Compute and Crush

Metagross quickly analyzes the position of nearby opposing Pokémon, granting it a shield effect based on the number of opposing Pokémon analyzed. When two or fewer opposing Pokémon are analyzed, Metagross lunges toward the opposing Pokémon with the lowest HP, dealing damage to it. If an opposing Pokémon is knocked out by this move, Metagross recovers a portion of its Unite Move gauge. When three or more opposing Pokémon are analyzed, Metagross lunges toward the opponent with the lowest HP, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon and creating a wall around itself.

Metagame Watch

Strong Against: Meowscarada - Metagross is an All-Rounder, but most of its moves are reminiscent of Defender-like disruption. Zen Headbutt and Gyro Ball are both perfect for locking down Speedsters like Meowscarada when they dive into the backline. Metagross’s Meteor Mash and Gyro Ball are also great for keeping it healthy and safe from quick KOs—another problem for Speedsters like Meowscarada that rely on burst damage. It may be difficult for Metagross to initiate encounters against high-mobility Pokémon, but it’s the perfect Pokémon for stopping them in their tracks.

Weak Against: Mew - Metagross’s mobility is reasonably limited outside of Zen Headbutt and its Unite Move, Compute and Crush. This makes most Ranged Attackers a real headache in team fights, but perhaps none more than Mew. Mew can not only deal long-range damage with Solar Beam, Electro Ball, and its boosted basic attack—it also has Surf, Agility, and Coaching to help get it out of trouble. Metagross likely needs to coordinate hindrances with another teammate to lock down Mew, but even that can be difficult.
