Ohara, Aliquis, and Hohma have grown alongside their partner Pokémon, and together they produced an amazing video featuring not only the academy but also famous Gym Leaders and the wondrous whole of Paldea! Enjoy watching their treasure of a video in the final episode of Pokémon: Paldean Winds! Characters from this episode have been added to our database.
Gimmighoul
To help promote the series, a special Gimmighoul was distributed. The password was: SEEY0U1NPALDEA and players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet could claim it from December 13th, 2023 to Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at 14:59 UTC.
Go on a Pokémon-filled adventure through the Paldea region. The final episode of Pokémon: Paldean Winds, a four-episode original animated web series, is available now on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. The series is produced by WIT STUDIO, the animation studio behind the award-winning Pokémon: Hisuian Snow web series. Pokémon: Paldean Winds is set in the Paldea region and tells the story of three academy students—Ohara, Aliquis, and Hohma—as they pursue their respective dreams with their partner Pokémon at their side.
Director Clavell asks the trio to make a video for the new first-year students and transfer students to showcase what makes the academy so special. The video comes to life through their ideas. It features an arrangement of the school song by the world-famous rapper Ryme and an introduction to the region’s Gym Leaders by Iono, as well as the wonders of Paldea seen by the three students during their Treasure Hunts—everyday moments at the academy, beautiful landscapes, and the people and Pokémon living in the region. The result is a treasure of a video with a scope that extends beyond the academy walls and across the whole of Paldea. And the time for its big unveiling has finally arrived.
Be sure to watch the first three episodes—“Breathe Out,” “Breathe In,” and “Take a Breath”—before taking in the riveting finale.
The Pokémon: Paldean Winds series is inspired by the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. To celebrate all things Paldea, be sure to watch the episode to discover a password that you can use to receive a special Gimmighoul in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game!

Meowscarada and Holiday Events Are Now Available in Pokémon UNITE
Deceive opponents with tricks and traps before dazzling them with a Floral Flourish—and enjoy some fun holiday goodies.
It’s no illusion—Meowscarada has joined the fray in Pokémon UNITE! This Grass- and Dark-type Pokémon is the final Evolution of Sprigatito, one of three first partner Pokémon originally discovered in the Paldea region. Now, this Melee Speedster has revealed itself on Aeos Island. Starting each match as Sprigatito, this Pokémon evolves into Floragato at Lv. 4, and then into Meowscarada at Lv. 6.
From December 7, 2023, to January 10, 2024, you’ll be able to obtain Meowscarada in the Meowscarada’s Flower Petal Challenge event. By completing missions to collect 100 petals in each of four colors, you can receive Meowscarada’s Unite license. Once the event ends, you’ll be able to get the license in exchange for 1,200 Aeos gems.
Read on to learn more about the magic Meowscarada brings to Unite Battles.
Meowscarada Basics
Ability: Overgrow - When this Pokémon takes damage that reduces it to half its max HP or less, it temporarily disappears into leaves. For a short time after that, the Pokémon’s movement speed and damage dealt increase, and each time the Pokémon deals damage to opposing Pokémon, it recovers HP. This Ability goes on cooldown after it’s triggered.
Basic Attack - Whenever a set amount of time passes, this Pokémon’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. Boosted attacks have the user leap at opposing Pokémon and deal additional damage.
Lv. 1 & 3 Moves
Leafage - Sprigatito shoots out leaves that deal damage to opposing Pokémon they hit and decrease their movement speed.
Hone Claws - Sprigatito sharpens its claws while moving, increasing the speed and damage of its next three basic attacks.
Lv. 6 Moves
Flower Trick - Meowscarada attaches a flower bomb to an opposing Pokémon. The flower bomb can be detonated at will if the move is used again, and when it explodes, it deals damage based on the percentage of HP the opposing Pokémon has lost. If Meowscarada deals damage to an opposing Pokémon that has a flower bomb attached to it, the explosion’s area of effect is increased, and it deals increased damage. If Meowscarada knocks out an opposing Pokémon with this move, the move’s cooldown is reset. Flower Trick can be upgraded to increase the explosion’s area of effect and increase the user’s movement speed after this move is used.
Night Slash - Meowscarada throws slashing waves with its claws, dealing damage and applying a mark to opposing Pokémon the slashing waves hit. Meowscarada’s basic attacks have an increased critical-hit rate on marked opposing Pokémon. When Meowscarada deals damage to marked opposing Pokémon with basic attacks, this move’s cooldown is reduced, and the user recovers HP. Night Slash can be upgraded to increase critical-hit rate and HP recovery.
Lv. 7 Moves
Double Team - Meowscarada creates an illusory copy of itself while dashing to befuddle opposing Pokémon. If this move is used again, Meowscarada swaps places with the illusory copy. When this swap happens, or when the illusory copy’s HP drops to 0, flower petals are scattered around, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and leaving them unable to act for a short time. Double Team can be upgraded to increase the time that the illusory copy remains before disappearing. The upgrade will also decrease the damage taken by the illusory copy.
Trailblaze - Meowscarada leaps to the designated location, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and leaving them paralyzed. If Meowscarada hits opposing Pokémon with this move, its basic attack speed and movement speed increase for a short time. When Meowscarada is in tall grass, this move’s range increases. If Meowscarada knocks out an opposing Pokémon or makes an assist, this move’s cooldown is reset. Trailblaze can be upgraded to grant the user a shield when this move is used.
Meowscarada’s Unite Move, Floral Flourish
Meowscarada moves instantly to the designated location, creating a whirlwind of flowers around itself that continually deals damage to opposing Pokémon. While using this move, Meowscarada cannot use other attacks, and the move can be canceled if it is used again.

The Second Chapter of the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet Launches December 14
London, United Kingdom —December 7, 2023—Today, The Pokémon Company International announced more details about The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet video games. The Indigo Disk launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch family of systems on December 14, 2023.
The Synchro Machine
Once players progress far enough in their adventure in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, they’ll be able to use a device called the Synchro Machine to see the world through the eyes of their Pokémon. While synchronized with one of their Pokémon, they’ll be able to move around and battle wild Pokémon—a fresh new way to play the game. It appears that this device is still a prototype. Players will be able to use it once they’ve helped a scientist in the Terarium with her research.
The Power of Flight
The Legendary Pokémon Koraidon or Miraidon will gain the power to fly for the first time when Trainers take on the Elite Trial set by Amarys of the BB League Elite Four. While at first this power is believed to be only temporarily imparted, it can apparently be made permanent, allowing Koraidon and Miraidon to fly at any time—but only once players have made it far enough in their adventure. Trainers will be able to fly wherever they please with their Legendary Pokémon and enjoy the sense of freedom that only an open world can provide.
Legendary Pokémon
After completing the main story of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, Trainers can meet a curious character named Snacksworth at Blueberry Academy. By completing Blueberry Quests (BBQs) in the Terarium, Trainers can earn snacks from Snacksworth that will allow them to encounter certain Legendary Pokémon from throughout the series back in the Paldea region! He’ll also share his extensive knowledge about these Pokémon with Trainers—as well as tall tales of his own heroic encounters with them.

Ayase Comment:
I wrote the song "Biri-Biri" to commemorate the first anniversary of the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. I am very happy to be able to be involved with Pokémon, which I have loved for a long time. I am a fan of the series, and I have played through the game so much that I have beat it 3 times. Based on the novel written by Ms. Takeda, I wrote this song with a lot of love for Pokémon, thinking about the Paldea region, which I have explored. I would be happy if you could feel the thrill and excitement of battles and adventure.
Once again, congratulations on the first anniversary of the release!
ikura Comment:
Congratulations on the first anniversary of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!
I am truly honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with Pokémon through music, as it continues to be loved by many people. I read the novel After the Rain With You written by Ms. Takeda and tried to create a singing voice that would make the audience feel the enthusiastic thrill of adventure and battle that the main character Nemo has as well as her love for Pokémon. I hope that many people will enjoy Biri-Biri along with the novel. Thank you very much.
