Crimson and her partner Azure pretended to be participants of the fake Pokémon Hustle event that was created by Team Rocket. Team Rocket's plan was to steal the participant's Pokémon but they themselves were swiped from before they could complete their plan.

Team Rocket eventually found out that the Pokémon were stolen, but Officer Jenny was already following Azure and Crimson undercover when she attempted to capture them. Jessie, James and Meowth thought the two were members of Team Rocket as well and helped them with their escape. After they told them they had never even heard of Team Rocket, Jessie, James and Meowth got mad at them and tried to recover the Pokémon.

Azure and Crimson were later captured and arrested by Officer Jenny with the help of Ash and his friends.
