The Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo will be closed temporarily as of March 26th, 2026, due to an incident involving a Pokémon Center staff member that was killed by man with a knife. The Pokémon Company made a statement indicating they will announce the reopening date at a later time.

Due to an incident that occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo located within Sunshine City in Tokyo, we will be temporarily closing the store for the time being. Our top priorities are to fully cooperate with the police and to ensure the physical and mental well-being of our staff.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We will provide an update regarding the reopening date at a later time.
