BELLEVUE, Wash. — June 9, 2026 — Today, the Pokémon Company group revealed the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass[1], a three-part paid DLC that provides additional content for the cozy life simulation adventure. Part 1 introduces a new area, Bubbly Basin, and will be available August 2026. Additionally, the Pokémon Pokopia Version 2.0 free update will also arrive in August 2026 and introduce Dive — a move Ditto can learn which allows players to expand their exploration underwater. Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC is paid additional content that gives players the opportunity to expand their town-building adventures with three content add-ons, all of which are playable using the player’s existing Pokémon Pokopia save data.
Part 1, Bubbly Basin, launches in August 2026. Bubbly Basin introduces an underwater town[2] where players can encounter Pokémon living beneath the sea, discover ocean floor-themed furniture and find new outfits for Ditto.
Part 2, which will include additional new features, is scheduled for late 2026. Part 3, which will introduce another new town, is planned for 2027. More details will be revealed in the future.
Pokémon Pokopia Version 2.0 Free Update
Pokémon Pokopia Version 2.0 launches in August 2026 at no cost and introduces a newly added move, Dive.[3] Using Dive allows Ditto to explore new environments underwater for the first time.
In-Game Items and Purchase Bonus
Players who purchase the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC can claim a recipe for dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper[4], which is redeemable for use in-game upon purchase.[5] Also, players who purchase the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC by Tuesday, August 31, 2027, will receive a code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. This code will be sent to the email address registered to the player’s Nintendo Account and can be redeemed via the Mystery Gifts feature in-game.[6]

Pokémon Pokopia Free Update and paid DLC: The Pokémon Pokopia experience continues under the sea with a free update arriving this August! Players will be able to explore the ocean floor using the new move Dive to plant grass, build structures, and create their own underwater towns alongside Pokémon. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC1 is also on the way, introducing three parts of additional content. Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC, Bubbly Basin, will launch this August and invite players to “Dive” into a new underwater town filled with new furniture, outfits, and Pokémon friends. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC will be available to purchase later today on Nintendo eShop.
