Biography
Michael Haigney is a New York City based voice actor, voice director, casting director, and script adaptor for various Pokémon media, joining the franchise with Season 1 of Pokémon the Series' English dub.
Michael was arguably one of the most hands-on and influential in making sure the show was a break-out hit in the United States, as he was lead casting and voice director of the show from Season 1's Pokémon - I Choose You! to Season 3's The Chikorita Rescue, as well as many of the early video games. He would provide script adaptation for the show as well, and also do voice acting work for Pokémon like Charmander, Koffing, Snorlax, Geodude, and many others. While he left his voice director and script adaptor position in Season 3, he would continue doing voice work for the show until Season 8, when the series was recast.
Starting on March 23, 2022, Michael Haigney started a podcast called "Original Pokéman" detailing and discussing his time on the show for each episode.
