Episode Guide Data

As part of our on going task to get as much information as possible about the Pokemon Anime in a database form, the character bios are the next step to give viewers of the website a lot of information about the characters. While some characters will have more information to build a biography, most characters should have enough information from the episodes they are in to write at least a 3 paragraph biography. An example bio is available here. Some characters have basic or 1 paragraph bios already. Please expand upon those bios especially if the episode you are watching has important information for a character that doesn't have any bio information written about yet. Our goal it to have a minimum of 3 to 5 paragraphs of information for each character. Some characters, especially some character Pokemon may need a bit of padding to get that much but that shouldn't be too hard to do.

We are hoping to get as many people as possible to write biographies for the characters in that episode and to check to make sure the current information in the 'Character' guide tab is accurate. Bios need to be written for all "Characters" listed in the episode guide tab, which includes characters of the day, secondary characters and secondary character Pokemon, ect. Quite often secondary characters will appear in a lot of episodes. Only add major relevant information to their bios pertaining to the episodes you are assigned if that information isn't already there. Please refrain from writing episode synopsis for the characters and include only relevant information.

Assigning Shortname Tags to Characters in Bio's

When referring to a character (and a characters Pokemon) in the biography area, use the {{Char=short_name_goes_here}} tag so that it will automatically change the name depending on the language set. Use the shortname for the character listed on the Character Link. Please do not change the shortname at all in the character editing interface as it will break links.

Information to Collect:

Characters in Episode (Double Check currently assigned, Write a 3-5 paragraph bio for that character, if one isn't already written. If a bio exists, double check and/or expand it. Only characters that have a name are included in the epguide, all others are ignored unless they have a vital importance to the episode. Include relations between characters: When a Pokemon evolved, friends, family, rivals, "love interests")
Pokemon in Episode (Double Check currently assigned. You can just put 'Pokemon Checked' or 'Pokemon Checked, Missing ' for this field.)
Characters Pokemon Attacks used in Episode (IE. Ash's Pikachu used Thunderbolt) Please only use attacks that have a vocal reference though if you are absolutely certain about an attack that doesn't have a reference like Mimirol uses Ice Beam, then be sure to put those down.
Location that the episode took place in (ie. Pallet Town)
Brief list of major episode highlights (ie. Ash gets a Pokemon, or badge, Did a Pokemon debut in the Anime in this episode?)
Who's That Pokemon? / Dare Da?! / Quiz / Pokémon Trainer's Choice (write out the question and answer)
Number of Times Team Rocket Blasted off in the episode
Team Rocket Balloon Enhancements? Screenshot (ie rocket boosters, net)
Did Team Rocket use a Mecha in the episode? (Name and Screenshot if so)
Any glaring episode edits (Dialog, paint edits, animation errors - Screenshot and time stamp)
Add a forum comment to quickly discuss your points on the episode and posting all the collected info so that people can see who was responsible for the work so you can be credited for it.
Optional: Write an episode summary for the episode. If there is already one, double check it.

Episode assignments are first come first serve, so if your familiar with a block of episodes, or wish to be assigned to multiple episode blocks, please let us know. Watching the episode is required but the language you watch it in is up to you as long as you can collect the correct information. Below is the list of episodes that character bios need to be written for and who is assigned to write the bios and check the characters in the episodes.
