Description:

Pokémon Sleep is a mobile app for Google Android and Apple iOS that was first revealed during the 2019 Pokémon Press Conference on May 28th, 2019. Pokémon Sleep brings a gameplay experience unlike any other. A new device based on the Pokémon GO Plus device uses an embedded accelerometer to track your time sleeping and sends this information to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This new device, called the Pokémon GO Plus +, also has the same functions as the original Pokémon GO Plus, so you can use it to play Pokémon GO during the day as well as with Pokémon Sleep at night!

Pokémon Sleep is planned to launch worldwide, excluding certain regions, in summer 2023, and Pokémon GO Plus + releases on July 14th, 2023. For the Trainer who never stops training, even in their sleep. With Pokémon GO Plus +, you’ll be able to play Pokémon GO without checking your smartphone, and track your sleep data to use in Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep.

Information:

Do you find yourself struggling to get energized in the morning? Has the same old bedtime routine grown tiresome? Now, you can turn your sleep into entertainment with Pokémon Sleep! Playing this game is simple: just place your smartphone by your pillow, then go to sleep. Just like that, waking up in the morning becomes something to look forward to!

Your adventure takes place on a small island where you'll carry out research on how Pokémon sleep. You'll work with large Snorlax who live on the island and Neroli, a professor who's studying Pokémon sleep styles.

Rest Your Very Best!

Place your smartphone by your pillow when you go to bed to record and measure your sleep. The longer you sleep, the higher your score in the morning, and the more Pokémon you'll see appear around Snorlax. Your nights of sleep will be classified as one of three sleep styles—dozing, snoozing, or slumbering—and in the morning, Pokémon that sleep in similar ways will come gather around Snorlax.

You may even discover a Pokémon sleeping in a rare style you'd hardly ever get to see normally. Each Pokémon has a number of different sleep styles, so see how many you can discover to complete your sleep style dex.

How to Play Pokémon Sleep

To play Pokémon Sleep, players place their smartphone device or Pokémon GO Plus + by their pillow and go to sleep[1]. When they wake up, they can check the results of the sleep tracking, study the sleep styles of the Pokémon that have appeared, and work together with Pokémon sleep researcher Professor Neroli to record them in the Sleep Style Dex. The more sleep players get, and the bigger Snorlax becomes, the more Pokémon they can meet, and the more sleep styles they’ll be able to discover. Players can also raise Snorlax during the day.

The Three Sleep Types

Pokémon Sleep categorizes sleep into three types: Dozing, Snoozing, and Slumbering. Pokémon whose sleeping pattern matches the player’s sleep type will gather around Snorlax. After players have studied the sleep styles of the gathered Pokémon, they can give Pokémon Poké Biscuits. This will make them friendlier, and they’ll become able to join players as helper Pokémon.

Gather Drowsy Power and Raise Snorlax

In Pokémon Sleep, players will be assigned a “sleep score” based on how long they’ve slept. Players get 100 points when they sleep for at least 8.5 hours. The longer players sleep, the greater Snorlax’s Drowsy Power will become, which in turn determines how many Pokémon gather each time they wake up.

During the day, the player’s helper Pokémon will gather Berries to give to Snorlax, and can activate skills to support them in raising Snorlax. Helper Pokémon can gather Berries even during times of the day when Pokémon Sleep is not being played.

New Research Begins Every Monday

Every Monday, players will choose a new site to move to and encounter a new Snorlax to raise there. This begins a new week of sleep research. The Pokémon encountered will differ depending on the area players are in. More Pokémon may come to sleep on the weekends, and there may even be rarer species than usual!

Share Sleep Research with Friends in the Research Community

Players can register another player as a friend to share their sleep duration and sleep type with them, as well as information like the number of sleep styles studied and the Pokémon in their helper teams. Players can also get rewards for reviewing their friends’ sleep research.

Learn More about the Pokémon GO Plus + Device

Inside the Pokémon GO Plus + device, there’s a nightcap-wearing Pikachu that players can meet in Pokémon Sleep when their Pokémon GO Plus + device is paired with Pokémon Sleep.

Usually, players build teams of five from the Pokémon they meet in Pokémon Sleep, but the nightcap-wearing Pikachu can fill in as a sixth team member!

If players connect their Pokémon GO Plus + device to Pokémon GO and spin PokéStops, their Pokémon GO Plus + device will keep a record of it and give them Berries when it is connected to Pokémon Sleep.

[1]Don’t place your device under your pillow or blankets, as it may overheat.

Features:

  • Find your rest rhythm and discover all sorts of styles Pokémon sleep in!
  • The Pokémon GO Plus + is a handier way to play Pokémon GO and also measure your sleep to use in playing both Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep.
