Players who purchased the Pocket Monsters Black White Official Complete Clear Guide (ポケットモンスターブラック・ホワイト 公式完全ぼうけんクリアガイド) received a serial code to unlock one of the Houen starter Pokémon from Pokémon Global Link. The guide book went on sale November 20th, 2010 for 830yen but the code could not be used till November 24th, 2010. The ISBN is 978-4-8401-3558-0.
