Blaze a Trail with Moltres in Pokémon UNITE

This license is hot stuff. Get ready to set Aeos Island ablaze with a Melee All-Rounder that boasts legendary firepower—Moltres is touching down for the first time in Pokémon UNITE. This fiery Legendary Pokémon excels in long, drawn-out brawls in which it can increase the burn counter on opposing Pokémon before really turning up the temperature with Incinerate and eventually Heat Wave. If you enjoy the heat of battle, Moltres is the Pokémon for you.

Read more about what Moltres brings to the battlefield before swooping into your next battle on Aeos Island.

Moltres Basics

Ability: Flame Body - When a basic attack or move deals damage to opposing Pokémon, it leaves them burned and increases their burn counter.

Basic Attack - Becomes a boosted attack every five attacks, dealing increased damage when it hits. When a boosted attack hits opposing Pokémon, Moltres can use one move instantly, and the Unite Move gauge charges slightly.

Lv. 1 & 3 Moves

Wing Attack - Moltres spreads its wings and charges in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon.

Incinerate - Moltres hurls a fiery orb in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. The higher the burn counter of the opposing Pokémon it hits, the more damage it deals. When this move hits an opposing Pokémon, that Pokémon’s burn counter resets.

Lv. 5 Move

Sky Attack - Moltres spreads its wings wide and attacks with a powered-up dash in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. When this move hits opposing Pokémon, then for a short time, the more opposing Pokémon the move hits, the more Moltres’s Defense and Sp. Def are increased. Sky Attack can be upgraded to grant Moltres a shield when this move hits Pokémon from the opposing team.

Lv. 7 Move

Heat Wave - Moltres exhales hot breath in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and gradually restoring Moltres’s HP for a short time. The higher the burn counter of the opposing Pokémon it hits, the more damage it deals. When this move hits an opposing Pokémon, that Pokémon’s burn counter resets. Heat Wave can be upgraded to reduce its cooldown when it deals damage to Pokémon from the opposing team.

Moltres’s Unite Move

Firebird Inferno - Moltres soars upward and unleashes a blazing orb of fire toward the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and maximizing their burn counter. After this move is used, the area around the opponents’ scorable goal zones will become visible to Moltres.
