The Japan AED Foundation and Pokémon GO are teaming up to add 13,000 PokéStops in-game at AED locations in Tokyo and across Japan by July 2026. AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator.

AED Locations will appear as PokéStop in Pokémon GO!

Starting May 1, 2026, AED locations will appear as PokéStops in Pokémon GO! Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Pokémon GO has provided players with an experience where they can walk, discover, and connect with their communities in the real world by utilizing smartphone location data.

To leverage this connection with the real world for a socially meaningful initiative, we have formed a partnership with the Japan AED Foundation. Based on information from the AED map AED N@VI, operated by the Japan AED Foundation, we will place PokéStops at select AED locations.

Starting with approximately 1,000 locations in Tokyo, these PokéStops are scheduled to appear sequentially to about 13,000 AED locations nationwide by mid-July.

Furthermore, to help players feel more familiar with AEDs, special photo discs featuring the Hands-On Pokémon Parmot will be displayed at the PokéStops created using AED location data.

Through Pokémon GO, we hope you’ll become aware of the AEDs in your neighborhood and be prepared for emergencies. Please enjoy the game while exploring nearby locations.

2026年5月1日より、『Pokémon GO』内にAED設置箇所が「ポケストップ」として登場します！ 今年10周年を迎える『Pokémon GO』は、スマートフォンの位置情報を活用することで、プレイヤーが現実世界を歩き、発見し、コミュニティとつながる体験を提供してきました。
この現実世界との接点を社会的意義のある取り組みに活かすため、このたび日本AED財団とパートナーシップを締結し、日本AED財団が運営するAEDマップ「AED N@VI」の情報をもとに、一部のAED設置箇所に「ポケストップ」を設置します。

東京都内約1,000箇所からスタートし、7月中旬までに全国のAED設置箇所のうち約13,000箇所に順次登場予定です。
さらに、AEDをより身近な存在に感じていただけるよう、AED設置情報をもとに設置される「ポケストップ」には、てあてポケモン「パーモット」がデザインされた特別なフォトディスクが表示されます。
『Pokémon GO』を通して身近にあるAEDに気づき、いざという時の備えとなるよう、ゲームを楽しみながら身近なスポットを探してみてください。
