Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) and Sygna Suit Cynthia (Aura) Return!

As of December 31, 2023 at 7:00 a.m., Master Sync Pairs from the three-year anniversary—Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) & Pikachu and Sygna Suit Cynthia (Aura) & Lucario—have returned!

To go along with their returns, the Tech Sync Pair Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) & Pikachu have gained the Field EX Role, and the Support Sync Pair Sygna Suit Cynthia (Aura) & Lucario have gained the Sprint EX Role.

Paid Gems-only Sync Pair Scouts that include presents are also available. In these Sync Pair Scouts, when you scout a featured Sync Pair, you’ll get a Roll Cake needed to unlock that Sync Pair’s EX Role!

Story Event Rising New Year’s Resolutions began on December 31, 2023! Wallace is in charge of hosting a New Year’s event. It seems Sabrina told him that she had a premonition in which a certain entity would guide the event to success.

Will the event go off without a hitch? You can team up with Katherine (Furisode Girl) & Slurpuff by completing the event, so be sure to give it a try!

Wallace (New Year's 2024) & Blacephalon

Wallace (New Year's 2024) & Blacephalon are a Field Sync Pair that can apply Hoenn Circle (Special). Their EX Role is Strike!

Their Hoenn Analysis Move increases the Special Moves ↑ Next effect of all allies by one rank. It also applies Hoenn Circle (Special), which can power up the special attack moves and special sync moves of all allies by 10% and reduce special attack move and special sync move damage taken by all allies by 5%.

Also, their Max Flare Max Move can make the weather sunny, so they’re a great choice to include on teams alongside Sync Pairs that would excel with both field effects. Plus, their Strange Flames Mind Blown Buddy Move is quite unique. It attacks all opponents, and every time they use it, they’ll increase their own Special Moves ↑ Next effect by zero to ten ranks at random!

Clair (New Year's 2024) & Drampa

Clair (New Year's 2024) & Drampa are a Support Sync Pair that can apply the Free Move Next effect to all allies multiple times. Their EX Role is Tech! One of their Passive Skills can apply the Free Move Next effect to all allies when Clair (New Year's 2024) uses a Move!

They also have the first-ever Passive Skill that can ignore power-up effects from weather conditions, terrains, and zones when an ally gets attacked by a Move, Sync Move, or Max Move, which lets you set the most beneficial field effects for your allies without worrying about the opponent’s type.

Amazing Rallies for the New Year

Two Log-in Bonuses started on December 31, 2023. The New Year’s Gift Log-In Bonus lets you collect a total of 5,000 Gems, and you can get various Move Candy Coins and Roll Cake Coins (11 coins total) from the New Year Log-In Bonus!

Also, just like last year, the New Year’s Gem Present Rally is now live. A total of 200 million Gems will be given away and the top prize is 60,000 Gems, so be sure to log in and join the Rally!

A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

As of December 31, 2023, you can invite Volkner as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge! To invite Volkner, you’ll need to team up with Volkner & Luxray first. You can team up with Volkner & Luxray from various Sync Pair Scouts, so be sure to invite him once you’ve teamed up with this Sync Pair.


Also, new content has been added to the Mysterious Stones Chapter. You’ll need to have collected a total of 200 Mysterious Stones to unlock this story’s area.

You can get Mysterious Stones from the Daily Region Rotation and other places, but if you’re in a hurry to collect them, you have a rare chance to receive them when completing some battles in the Training Area, so give it a try if you want to play more of the story as soon as possible.

In addition, last year’s Story Event Gather Up! Dream Duo! will return on January 3, 2024, and January 8, 2024 will bring a High Score Event where the recommended type is Grass, as well as the Battle Villa and the addition of a new battle to Challenge the Strong. We hope you look forward to all this content!

Future Updates

At the end of January, we’re planning to release the new battle content that we told you about in previous messages!

Previously, we mentioned that you’ll aim to earn points by winning multiple battles as you proceed. In addition to this, you can choose either the Normal, Hard, or Very Hard difficulty for each battle.

The harder the battle, the more points you can earn. On top of that, all battles have certain Roles that will grant you a point bonus. For example, in a battle that has Strike and Tech getting a bonus, the number of points you can earn for winning while having Strike or Tech Sync Pairs on your team will increase.

EX Roles are also eligible for the bonus, which means a Strike Sync Pair that has a Tech EX Role would get you even more points! Sync Pairs’ HP and Moves’ MP are carried over during your challenge, so we encourage you to think carefully about your strategies, such as which Sync Pairs to use for each battle, and when to use which items.

As we said in a previous message, you can exchange the points you’ve earned at an exclusive Shop for items used to strengthen your Sync Pairs.

There are several beneficial items you can exchange for in this content, such as ones that apply certain field effects at the start of battle and ones that let you see information about the battles ahead, so we hope you try to find items that fit your own personal strategy.

Also, due to the addition of this content, the Battle Villa will no longer open periodically as it had up to now, and will instead become permanent content. Please note that as a result, January will be the final occurrence of the Battle Villa as an event.

We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of the year and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

Neo Champions: A Touching Sepia-Toned Song Is Coming

Neo Champions: A Touching Sepia-Toned Song will begin on December 24, 2023! In A Pure and Touching Heart, the previous Neo Champions event, Iris felt that the power to touch the hearts of others can take many forms, and has decided to hold a second part of the Neo Champion Stadium.

Rosa, who had been practicing Relic Song with Meloetta, decides to put on a performance born from the bonds between people and Pokémon! Rosa will also appear as part of a Master Sync Pair wearing her Champion attire from the event!

Rosa (Champion) & Meloetta

Rosa (Champion) & Meloetta are a Support Sync Pair that can battle while switching between two forms. Their EX Role is Sprint!

One of their Passive Skills makes them switch between Aria Forme and Pirouette Forme when successfully attacking with a Move or Sync Move. When they switch forms, they can increase the Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects of all allies by one rank each!

Plus, by using their Ode to Glory! Move, they can increase the Special Moves ↑ Next effect of all allies by two ranks when in Aria Forme, or the Physical Moves ↑ Next effect of all allies when in Pirouette Forme.

On top of that, they’ll lower the target’s Psychic Type Rebuff by one rank the first time they use a Move targeting the opponent when in Aria Forme, and they’ll lower the target’s Fighting Type Rebuff by one rank the first time they use a Move targeting the opponent when in Pirouette Forme. They can also raise one of the following stats of all allies by two stat ranks at random every time they use their Relic Song of Wonder Buddy Move: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness.


In addition, we’re bringing you a Special Battle Event and Extreme Battle Event in which you can battle Rosa in her Champion attire, so we hope you look forward to these battles.

Other Events and Updates

On December 24, 2023, we’ll also bring you A Glimmering Night of Gifts log-in bonus, from which you can get 3,000 gems. Viola and Professor Sycamore will be wearing special outfits and waiting for you on Pasio with presents, so we hope you log in and receive them.

Additionally, a special Egg Event where you can team up with Pokémon from Galar—Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble—will start on December 26, 2023, so we hope you look forward to it!

Bug-Type Gear Event under way! You can get Bug-type Type Gear by completing co-op battles! This event is exclusive to co-op battles. You can get Bug-type Type Gear from event battle rewards or from the Event tab of the Exchange Items menu! The more you play together with other players, the more Type Gear you can collect!

Type Gear Details

Equipping your team with Type Gear can make your Sync Pairs stronger. Type Gear can be equipped in the Edit Team screen in the Sync Pair menu.

Note: To use Type Gear, you must have completed Interlude 1 Let the Tournament Begin!, which is available after completing Main Story Chapter 10 in single-player.

In conjunction with this event, the following 3★ Type Gear will be added.

How to Get 3★ Type Gear Upgrade Items

3★ Type Gear upgrade items can be obtained by exchanging 1★–3★ Type Gear. The upgrade items you can get differ based on the Type Gear’s type and category. (Categories include bandannas, bracelets, or pins.)

Example 1: If you exchange a 2★ Bug Bandanna, you’ll receive Bug Scissors.
Example 2: If you exchange a 3★ Bug Bracelet, you’ll receive Bug Thread.

Type Gear with more ★s, higher levels, or more level caps unlocked will yield more upgrade items.

Important

• To participate, you must have completed Main Story Interlude 1: Let the Tournament Begin! in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those you can actually obtain.
• The number of plays available for Daily Bonus Battle 1 is reset every day. Reset Time: 10:00 p.m.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover vouchers will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to your Present Box.
• You cannot take on this event area with 3 teams comprised of only your own Sync Pairs.
• The time period and featured content are subject to change without notice.
