The Pokémon Sleep New Year 2026 event takes place from December 29th, 2025 to January 12th, 2026 at 3:59 a.m.
Event: New Year 2026
This two-week–long event is a special time when Pokémon who arrived in Pokémon Sleep in 2025 are more likely to appear. During this event, you can encounter certain Pokémon again—such as Trapinch, Bagon, and Dwebble—on Greengrass Isle!
Also, the Event Exchange—where you can trade Dream Coins—for various items will be available.
Additionally, you’ll be able to use the Candy Cram-o-matic function during the second week of the event!
Different bonuses and Pokémon with greater appearance rates are planned for the first and second week of this event.

• You can obtain these only during the event.
• After the event ends, you can still exchange Dream Coins until the Event Exchange closes. You will lose any remaining Dream Coins once the exchange period ends.
How to Get Dream Coins
Sleep Research in the Event Areas
• This is the main way to get Dream Coins.
Note: You cannot get any of these items during the second sleep research of the day.
• The number of Dream Coins you can get depends on the species of Pokémon and the sleep styles you find them in.
• In expert mode, researching the same sleep style will give you a slightly greater number of Dream Coins than in normal mode.
Limited-Time Missions
• You can get Dream Coins by completing limited-time missions.
Research Community
• In rare cases, you can get Dream Coins from other researchers in your Research Community who are also participating in the event.
• The higher your closeness with a researcher, the more likely you are to receive Dream Coins from them.
• The following Limited-Time Special Gift will be distributed only to those who do not have the Research Community button on their Main Menu.
Limited-Time Special Gift
• The following items will arrive in your Gift Box at the beginning of the event’s first week and again at the beginning of the second week!
• Dream Coin ×70
Notes: This applies to players who log in during the event period.
Researchers who have the Research Community button on their Main Menu are not eligible to receive this gift.
If your gifts haven’t arrived yet, please restart the app and then check your Gift Box.
Event Exchange
You can exchange Dream Coins for the following items.
• Poké Biscuit
• Great Biscuit
• Main Skill Seed
• And more!
Also, a few Poké Biscuits and Handy Candies S will be added at a slightly lower exchange rate during the second week of the event. Keep an eye out for these during the last stretch!
Limited-Time Function: “Candy Cram-o-matic”
When it’s available, you can use the Candy Cram-o-matic from the home screen.
If you spend Dream Shards and feed 40 Pokémon Candies to the Candy Cram-o-matic, you’ll get one M-sized candy of a random type.
On rare occasions, you’ll get a Great Success when you use the Candy Cram-o-matic. When you get a Great Success, you’ll receive two M-sized candies.
Also, certain types of Pokémon Candies are more likely to come out depending on the type of Pokémon Candies you feed the Candy Cram-o-matic.
Candy Cram-o-matic Examples
• Feed it 40 Bulbasaur Candies (Grass type) → The candy that comes out is slightly more likely to be a Grass-Type Candy M.
• Feed it 30 Bulbasaur Candies (Grass type) and 10 Pikachu Candies (Electric type) → The candy that comes out is slightly more likely to be a Grass-type Candy M and very slightly more likely to be an Electric-Type Candy M.
Notes: This function can be used up to four times per day.
Each time this function is used, it will consume more Dream Shards than the previous time. The number of times you can use the Candy Cram-o-matic and the number of Dream Shards it consumes will reset each day.
Notes
• 【Important】 Each day of the event rolls over at 4:00 a.m.
• After the event, Trapinch, Bagon, and Dwebble will no longer appear during sleep research conducted on Greengrass Isle (except when using that Pokémon’s incense).
• After Jan. 19, 2026, at 3:59 a.m., you’ll no longer be able to use Trapinch Incense, Bagon Incense, or Dwebble Incense on Greengrass Isle.
• Event bonuses apply only to sleep data tracked during the event.
• If you wait to report sleep data tracked before the event began and select “Review Later” during the event, event bonuses will not be applied.
• If you wait to report sleep data tracked during the event and select “Review Later” after the event has ended, event bonuses will be applied.
• Event bonuses do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial.
• You won’t be able to use the Candy Cram-o-matic after the event ends. If the Candy Cram-o-matic is available again during another event, Dream Shard consumption, the number of times it can be used in one day, and other details may change.
• The event’s candy bonus does not apply to the second sleep session of the day.
• If overlapping events trigger more than one of the same type of bonus, the larger bonus will be applied.
