Global Challenges will take place throughout the High Zaptitude event! Explore with Trainers around the world to unlock bonuses for all to enjoy. Once a challenge is completed, special bonuses will be unlocked for the remainder of the event and the next Global Challenge will begin.

Level 1 Reward

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.

Level 2 Rewards

• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• The Storm Petrel Pokémon Wattrel and its Evolution, Kilowattrel, will make their Pokémon GO debuts in the wild and Field Research!
• You can use 50 Wattrel Candy to evolve Wattrel into Kilowattrel.

Level 3 Rewards

• 2× XP for hatching Pokémon.
• 2× Stardust for hatching Pokémon.

Wild Encounters

May encounter event-themed Pokémon in the wild, including Chinchou*, Helioptile*, Tadbulb* and more! You might even encounter Shinx*!

Field Research Task Encounters

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

Paid Timed Research

For US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research. Purchasing this ticket will also grant the following bonus during the High Zaptitude event.

• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.

Timed Research rewards include the following.

• Encounters with Tadbulb

Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
