The official Pokémon Ranger: Paths of Light (ポケモンレンジャー 光の軌跡) website has announced an new mission for the upcoming game that features the legendary Pokémon Heatran. The Mysterious Eruption Investigation! (なぞのふんかをちょうさせよ！) mission will be available from March 18th, 2010 to May 17th, 2010.

The volcano is erupting causing tourists to flee from getting injured. If you succeed in capturing the legendary Pokémon Heatran, the one responsible for causing of the volcanic eruptions, it knows the special move Eruption (ふんか).
