The Pokémon Company posted a special news release on November 12th, 2014 to announce that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire had reached 1 million pre-order sales in Japan. Nintendo previously announced that pre-order sales for ORAS were down in Japan compared with XY but were on par in North America and ahead in Europe. The Pokémon Company revealed though that reservation numbers now exceed Pokémon X and Y overseas which was the fastest selling first week Nintendo 3DS game!
