The official Pokémon website has announced the details of the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles for the November 2020 Season.

The Pokémon of The Crown Tundra Are Eligible for the Ranked Battles November Season

Gear up for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield battles featuring Pokémon from all around Galar.

The launch of The Crown Tundra, the second part of the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, means even more Pokémon are ready to march into battle! Put your skills to the test in the Ranked Battles November Season (Season 12), where Pokémon from all over the Galar region, including the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra, are eligible to compete. Battle other Trainers to move up the global leaderboards and earn helpful in-game rewards.

The Ranked Battles November Season will follow the Series 7 regulations, which means Galar Pokédex No. 001–397, Isle of Armor Pokédex No. 001–210, Pokémon in the Crown Tundra Pokédex, and the following Pokémon are eligible for battle:

How to Start a Ranked Battle

  1. Open the X menu.
  2. Select VS.
  3. Select Battle Stadium.
  4. Select Ranked Battles.

How to Receive In-Game Rewards

You will need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during the November season to be eligible for rewards at the end of the season.

  1. Open the X menu.
  2. Select Mystery Gift.
  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.

Regarding the Battle-Ready Symbol

Only Pokémon obtained in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield or those with the battle-ready symbol are eligible.

Pokémon from previous games in the Pokémon series can receive the battle-ready symbol from the character next to the door in the center of the Battle Tower. Moves that cannot be used in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be forgotten when the battle-ready symbol is applied to your Pokémon. Once forgotten, these moves cannot be remembered.
