The Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament is a 1-day online tournament that will be held on multiple days from December to January 2021 in Japan. The Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament is an official Pokémon UNITE tournament organized by JCG in cooperation with The Pokémon Company.

Entries for the first tournament, which will be held on December 4th and 5th, 2021, are now being accepted. Please use the entry form to apply. The tournament will also be broadcast live on the official Pokémon Unite YouTube channel. Please wait for further details to be announced.

The top-ranked team in each tournament may be invited to an invitation-only offline tournament to be held in the Kanto area. If the same player finishes in the top position in more than one team, the tournament management will select the invitational team according to the situation.

Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament Schedule and Overview

Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament Round 1
Block A: Saturday, December 4th, 2021, 12:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Block B: Sunday, December 5th, 2021, 12:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament Round 2
Block A: Saturday, January 8, 12:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Block B: January 9 (Sun) 12:30 - 22:00

This are 1-day online tournaments. The end time is subject to change depending on the progress of the tournament.

Entry Format: Team of 5~6 people
Single elimination tournament format: Matches from the first round to the quarterfinals: One match [BO1]. Semifinals and finals: 2 games in a row [BO3].
Teams: Maximum 512 teams. If the number of entries exceeds 512, teams will be selected by lottery.
Match Format: Standard Battle - Friend Match - Remota Stadium

Additional Information:
  • The latest version of Pokémon UNITE for Nintendo Switch and smartphones are Eligibility
  • The person applying to represent the team (hereinafter referred to as the "representative player") must be 16 years old or older at the time of application for this tournament.
  • If a player under the age of 20 is a member of the team at the time of entry, the player's parent or guardian must give permission for the player to participate.
  • The player must be able to communicate in Japanese through reading and writing. Players must be able to communicate with the tournament management through the chat application Discord.
  • Players must be able to follow the instructions of the tournament management and interview during the official broadcast.
