Details on the upcoming Season 19 Ranked Match regulations have been announced. Below are the details.

Season 19 Ranked Match Regulations

The following is a notification regarding ranked matches in season 19, which begins on April 17, 2024.

EX Licenses Disallowed

EX licenses CANNOT be used in ranked matches with one or more Master rank players during season 19.

Draft Pick Applicability

In season 18, we tested draft pick in ranked matches where every player had a Master rank rating of at least 1,400. We appreciate all the feedback that was shared with us through our recent survey and are expanding the availability of draft pick to more players.

Current (season 18)New (season 19)
Master rank rating1,400 and above1,200 and above
Unite licenses owned (excluding EX licenses)No requirement(Players with fewer than 14 Unite licenses cannot participate in ranked matches.)14 or more
Number of players that need to meet requirement1010

Master rank rating requirement

We are reducing the required Master rank rating from 1,400 to 1,200 so that more players can enjoy draft pick.

Change in license number requirement

In season 18, even when all ten players met the rating requirement to enter a draft pick match, players with fewer than 14 Unite licenses (excluding EX licenses) could not join ranked matches. We would like to avoid this situation going forward.

Going forward, draft pick will only be used for players with 14 or more Unite licenses. This will avoid situations where players are unable to participate in ranked matches because they do not own enough Unite licenses.

Our data shows that most Master rank players already meet this requirement and should be able to enjoy draft pick, but we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust regulations periodically.
