Third Anniversary Commemorative New Feature: Munchlax’s Nap Island

July 20 is the day Pokémon Sleep released globally! To commemorate our third anniversary, a new feature that allows you to spend time with Munchlax and raise helper Pokémon—Munchlax’s Nap Island—will be available from July 19, 2026, at 22:00 p.m.!

What is Munchlax’s Nap Island?

Nap Island is a small island where a single Munchlax lives. You can send one helper Pokémon there! The Pokémon you send to Nap Island will spend time napping with Munchlax, and will grow by fully enjoying its stay.

Requirements to Unlock

Once you’ve completed the Dex goal of registering 35 sleep styles, a sign for Nap Island will appear on your home screen, allowing you to travel to and from Nap Island any time! Note: If you’ve already met these requirements, Nap Island will unlock as soon as it’s available.

Sending Pokémon to Nap Island

You can send only one helper Pokémon to Nap Island. The Pokémon on Nap island will accumulate EXP every minute (a total of 150 EXP each day). When you take it back from Nap Island, it will grow according to the amount of EXP accumulated.

Note: While a Pokémon is on Nap Island, certain actions will be disabled, such as adding the Pokémon to your current helper team and using items on it.
Note: The Pokémon that you send to Nap Island will not recover Energy via sleep reports. However, it will recover 15 Energy for every 24 hours it spends on Nap Island.

Taking Pokémon Back

You can take your Pokémon back from Nap Island at any time, but if you take it back straight away, it will not be able to fully enjoy Nap Island. Pokémon need seven days to fully enjoy Nap Island. If you take a Pokémon back before the full seven days are over, it will only gain half of the possible EXP.

Note: You can keep a Pokémon on Nap Island after seven days have passed, and EXP will continue to accumulate while it is on the island.
Note: If a helper Pokémon has reached its max level when taken back, instead of the Pokémon growing, any extra EXP will be added to the EXP Bonus Gauge.

About the New Item

By using the new item, Relaxing Nap Ticket, you’ll be able to rent a Relaxing Set for seven days, which makes your Pokémon’s stay at Nap Island even more pleasant. During the Relaxing Set rental period, the Pokémon on Nap Island will accumulate an extra 450 EXP each day.

The Relaxing Set rental period will only count down while you have Pokémon on Nap Island. If there are no Pokémon on Nap Island, the counter pauses. To commemorate the arrival of Munchlax’s Nap Island, the first time you send a Pokémon to Munchlax’s Nap Island, you will be able to use a Relaxing Nap Ticket as a present.

Note: Relaxing Nap Tickets can primarily be obtained at the General Store.
Note: If you take a Pokémon back before it has fully enjoyed a seven-day stay, it will only gain half of the extra EXP accumulated from using a Relaxing Nap Ticket.
Note: If you use multiple Relaxing Nap Tickets, the rental period for the Relaxing Set can be extended. It can be extended for a certain amount of time.

About Munchlax’s Pickup

The Munchlax at Nap Island will pick up items using Pickup, occasionally gathering items such as Dream Shards and Pokémon Candies, and put them in the Pickup Box. When you take a Pokémon back, Munchlax will give your Pokémon the items gathered in the Pickup Box as a souvenir.

Note: Souvenirs from Munchlax can still be obtained when your bag’s items pocket is full.
Note: The maximum number of items that can be stored in the Pickup Box is 30.
Note: All items gathered in the Pickup Box can still be obtained if you take the Pokémon back before the end of the full seven day stay.

Notes

• The stay time at Nap Island will reset when you take Pokémon back.
• The time a Pokémon has spent on Nap Island and the amount of time you sleep while it is on the island will not count toward the amount of sleeping time that you’ve shared with that Pokémon.
• The amount of EXP that can be accumulated on Nap Island will reach its maximum at one year, and EXP will not accumulate after that.
• If you rent a Relaxing Set when a Pokémon has been on Nap Island for more than one year, the rental period will not count down.
• Increased Sleep EXP gained via event bonuses, Growth Incense, and Pokémon sub skills will not be factored into the EXP gained on Nap Island. However, increased EXP gains from the Pokémon’s Nature will be reflected.
