App Update for Late September - A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

Starting September 30, 2024, you’ll be able to invite Lear as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge! To invite Lear, you’ll need to team up with Lear & Hoopa first. You can team up with Lear & Hoopa from the ongoing Lear Poké Fair Scout, and also from the Monthly Poké Fair Scout that will start on September 30, 2024, so be sure to invite him once you’ve teamed up with this Sync Pair.

Other Updates

Battles that can appear in the Battle Rally will be added on September 30, 2024. Some Secret Titles will also be newly added, so we hope you try to discover how to acquire them.

This event is related to the one we mentioned in our 65th message that takes a completely new approach to storytelling and lore. We hope you enjoy it! Giacomo & Kingambit are a Dark-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Tech.

Their Perfect Kowtow Cleave Buddy Move can attack all opponents and gets more powerful the more Giacomo & Kingambit’s Sync Move ↑ Next effect is increased. It also attacks while ignoring the target’s Passive Skills that would reduce its damage, Passive Skills that would protect the target against a critical hit, and the target’s Enduring effect.

One of their Passive Skills increases their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by a number of ranks equal to the number of Pokémon that have taken damage when an ally takes damage from an opponent, and their Spin You Up Good! Trainer Move can increase their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by two ranks, so make good use of them and unleash their powerful Buddy Move and Sync Move!


Clavell & Quaquaval are a Water-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field. Their Liquidation Dance Buddy Move can attack all opponents, gets powered up the more their Speed is raised, and its power is not lowered even if there are multiple targets.

Using it removes all of their Speed increases, but they can raise their Speed by one stat rank by using their Aqua Step Move. Also, a Passive Skill of theirs doubles stat increases when their Pokémon raises an ally’s stat with a move, so you can boost their Speed over and over and use their Buddy Move!

Special Monthly Event Happy Prize Box

Special Monthly Event Happy Prize Box will begin on September 30, 2024! In this event, you’ll pull from the Prize Box using Happy Prize Box Coins that you can earn from the Log-in Bonus held during the event or from daily battles to earn rewards.

The grand prize for Pool 6 of the Prize Box is a Fair-Exclusive Scout Ticket. You can use this ticket to team up with either Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir, Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh, Elesa (Classic) & Emolga, Sygna Suit Cynthia & Kommo-o, Marnie & Morpeko, or Sygna Suit Red & Charizard from a Scout guaranteed!

This event will be held throughout October, and you can receive the Log-in Bonus rewards up to 20 times during the event period, so we hope you give it a try!

Other Events

Early to mid-October will see the return of the Alola Chapter Villain Event, as well as a Legendary Gauntlet, an Ultimate Battle addition, and a new Solo Event, so we hope you look forward to them!

Future Updates

The update for late October will introduce a new strengthening method for some Sync Pairs. Once a Sync Pair has reached move level 5, you’ll be able to upgrade them up to five additional levels. Up to the fourth of these five additional levels, there will be fixed boosts for each Role, such as stat increases and power-ups for Moves, Sync Moves, and Max Moves. The fifth level has one fixed Passive Skill for each Sync Pair.

This update is currently planned to be an enhancement for Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. It will be applied to new Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that debut from late October onward, as well as to all existing Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs in three installments: in late October, late November, and late December.

This update will further expand the possibilities for your Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs, so we hope you’ll use your favorite Sync Pairs and teams as you enjoy playing Pokémon Masters EX.

Adorned in golden swag alongside a swanky new partner, Lear is ready to make it rain as he brings even more shine to Pokémon Masters EX.

Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo

Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo are a Steel-type sprint sync pair who excel at doing damage with some serious coin. They have Gholdengo’s iconic Steel-type move Make It Rain at their disposal, but what’s even more impressive is their buddy move, Precious Make It Rain.Not only does this move have high power, but it also lowers the targets’ Sp. Def by three stat ranks and applies the Free Move Next effect to all allied sync pairs. Precious Make It Rain hits all targets—and does maximum damage no matter the number of targets—so it sets up plenty of opportunity for future specialattacks to really rack up numbers.

As benevolent king of all Pasio, Lear is ready to show his solidarity in this latest sync pair. Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo have the Trainer move Pasio Solidarity,which increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next effect and Special Moves ↑ Next effect of all allied sync pairs by one rank and applies Pasio Circle (Defensive) to the allied field of play. Pasio Circle (Defensive) powers up all allies’ moves and sync moves and reduces the damage allies take from moves and sync moves. That’s not all—Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo’s passive skill Royal Fortune grants additional bonuses to all allied sync pairs when Pasio Circle (Defensive) is in effect. Zinnia & Rayquaza - Zinnia fans, rejoice! One of the most difficult things to decide when specializing Zinnia & Rayquaza in dealing Dragon-type special damage with Draco Meteor is whether to pick the Critical Strike 2 lucky skill to maximize damage or the Dauntless lucky skill to avoid any loss to their Sp. Atk. The choice is easy with Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo’s Royal Fortune passive skill: you can now select Critical Strike 2 as Zinnia & Rayquaza’s lucky skill without worrying about Sp. Atk drops. Pasio Circle (Defensive) will still need to be in effect to usher in Royal Fortune, so keep that in mind while battling.

Zinnia & Rayquaza can be obtained by completing The Dragon That Rules the Sky in the Legendary Adventures section of the main story.

Raihan & Duraludon - If you’re looking for a Steel-type strike sync pair to stand alongside Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo, Raihan & Duraludon are one of your best bets. Raihan & Duraludon’s Steel Beam and sync move deal special damage, which combos nicely with Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo’s ability to lower their targets’ Sp. Def. This makes for an even greater boon once Raihan & Duraludon are raised to 6★ EX, as their sync move will hit all opponents. Sygna Suit Lear & Gholdengo’s Precious Make It Rain applying the Free Move Next effect to all allies can also make it easier for Raihan & Duraludon to fire off an extra Steel Beam without obliterating your move gauge.
