App Update for Late July

Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout 72 Hours Only!
5★ Sygna Suit Red & Charizard, 5★ Sygna Suit Blue & Blastoise, and 5★ Sygna Suit Leaf & Venusaur will return in this sync pair scout. This scout will be available for 72 hours, starting from when you first log in after the app update.

Evelyn & Entei Added to the BP Sync Pair Super Voucher Exchange Items Menu

Evelyn & Entei, a Fire-type master sync pair, will be added to the BP Sync Pair Super Voucher exchange items menu.Also, on August 8, 2021 at 11:00 p.m. after the Champion Stadium switches regions, Battle Points will be added as additional rewards for master mode.We hope you take this opportunity to try master mode if you haven’t yet.

The PML Arc of the Main Story Concludes

The main story will be updated on July 29, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., bringing us to the long-awaited final round of the PML tournament.A highlight of this event is finding out how Blue feels on his path to victory in the PML—and how Red responds to his feelings before the finals.This update will mark the conclusion of the PML arc of the main story, but we’re working on a new story arc that will begin after it.We’ll share details about the new story arc in our next message, so we hope you enjoy the Lear Takes the Lead Solo Event that begins on July 29, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., along with the climax of the PML arc, as you wait for the new story arc to begin.

Solo Event: Lear Takes the Lead

The Lear Takes the Lead Solo Event will begin on July 29, 2021.At the same time, Lear, Rachel, and Sawyer will each appear in the Sync Pair Scout.

Lear & Hoopa

Lear & Hoopa have three passive skills that can each reduce the sync move countdown, allowing them to quickly use their sync move:- One passive skill reduces the sync move countdown when they enter a battle.- Another passive skill has a chance of reducing the sync move countdown when a move is successful.- A third passive skill reduces the sync move countdown the first time they use their sync move.Also, the power of their sync move, Singularity Hyperspace Hole, increases when none of the target’s stats are raised. Their Snatch move returns the target’s raised stats to normal and raises the user’s stats, so you can use it before using their sync move to do even more damage.

Rachel & Umbreon

Rachel & Umbreon are a support sync pair that have a move called Helloooo! that restores one ally’s HP by approximately 60%, removes status conditions and interference inflicted on that ally, grants them the Enduring effect, and, if the ally has a sync buff, grants them the Gradual Healing effect. With all these effects, Rachel & Umbreon show that they really excel at healing.

Sawyer & Honchkrow

Sawyer & Honchkrow have a move called Forever Loyal! that raises all allies’ Attack and Sp. Atk by two stat ranks, raises their Defense and Sp. Def by one stat rank, and applies the Move Gauge Acceleration effect to the allied field of play.Also, they have one passive skill that has a chance to raise all allies’ Defense when attacking, and they have another that has a chance to raise all allies’ Sp. Def when attacking, making them a support sync pair that can bolster both their team’s offensive and defensive capabilities.

New Event! Daily Type Rotation: Type Team-Up

Starting August 4, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., a new kind of event, Daily Type Rotation: Type Team-Up, will begin.In this event, you can take on sync pairs of all 18 types. Types will rotate daily and be featured in battles such as Challenge the Flying Types, Challenge the Rock Types, and Challenge the Water Types.By completing each battle, you can get gems and items used for training, including tomes and codices for each type, so be sure to give this event a try.Also, each time a new battle is added, you’ll be able to enjoy special conversations with sync pairs in the Pokémon Center, so we hope you look forward to this event.

Falkner & Swellow Debut

Also on August 4, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., Falkner & Swellow will debut in the sync pair scout.

Falkner & Swellow can use the Fly move to temporarily leave the battle, causing most opponents’ moves aimed at them to miss.Also, they have three passive skills that each have an effect if an opponent’s move misses:- One passive skill has a chance to restore their HP.- Another passive skill charges the move gauge.- A third passive skill raises the Speed of all allies.With these passive skills, Falkner & Swellow could be great at supporting allies while avoiding attacks.

Run-Up to Two Years Celebration

Pokémon Masters EX will celebrate its two-year anniversary at the end of August! Thank you so much for your support throughout these two years.From changing the title of the app to Pokémon Masters EX to new content like the Champion Stadium, we launched some major updates throughout the past year, and we’re preparing various updates that will make this year’s anniversary just as exciting as last year’s.We’ll share more information about what you can expect from the end of August onward in our next message, and today we’ll tell you about the Run-Up to Two Years Celebration, which begins on August 11, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.

Max Move Debut
We mentioned in a previous message that we are working on bringing Dynamax to the game. This feature will be launched as superpowerful “Max Moves.” The first sync pair to have Max Moves will debut during our Run-Up to Two Years Celebration.Each Sync Pair that has a Max Move will be able to use their Max Move once during battle, at any time. If a sync pair has more than one Max Move, they can still only use one Max Move per battle.Plus, each Max Moves will have various additional effects, so you’ll have to think about whether you want to use them to deal a lot of damage or to activate their effects based on the flow of battle.Of course, sync pairs that have Max Moves will also be able to use their normal sync move as well.The reason why sync pairs on Pasio can Dynamax will be revealed in the Howling Shield of Eternity legendary event, which we discuss below.There will only be one sync pair that can use Max Moves debuting in August, but more will be on the way, so stay tuned.

Legendary Event: Howling Shield of Eternity

The Howling Shield of Eternity legendary event will begin on August 11, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.In this event, you can team up with a new sync pair, Hop & Zamazenta.Look forward to learning what Hop & Zamazenta can do when the event begins.

Two-Year Run-Up Special Rally
Starting August 18, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., we’ll launch the following as part of the Two-Year Run-Up Special Rally.

Three Legendary Events Return
Three Legendary Events will return at the same time. These events are New World Dilemma, in which you can team up with Cyrus & Palkia, Give and Take, in which you can team up with Professor Sycamore & Xerneas, and Father or Foe, in which you can team up with Ghetsis & Kyurem.

Special Log-In Bonus
For up to 9 days, you’ll be able to get 400 Stamina per day from the Special Log-In Bonus.

Special Missions
You can get 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets and other incredible rewards from special missions.

Training Area Reward Boost Rally

Obtain Items Using Travel Tokens

Travel tokens can be obtained by participating in event battles. Use the travel tokens you have obtained to move throughout the event map and acquire the items along the way. Use travel tokens to collect items and head toward your destination!

Advance Through the Event Maps

Reach checkpoints to view the story and progress to the next event map. You can obtain new areas and items as you progress through the event map. There is no limit to how many maps you can advance through, so collect as many items as you can.

Greetings, Trainers. We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll tell you about updates from June through late July.

App Update for Late June

After taking into consideration your feedback and the current state of the game, we’ll be making the following three changes with late June’s update.

Zero Stamina Consumption for the Main Story
We will make it so that playing the Main Story does not consume Stamina.The next Main Story update is planned for late July, so we hope you take this opportunity to play through the latest chapters if you haven’t done so already.

Day Care Limit Increased to 500
The Day Care limit will be increased from 200 to 500. This means that you’ll be able to keep up to 500 Pokémon hatched from Eggs in the Day Care.

Move and Passive Skill Text Improvements
We’re going to improve some of the descriptions for Moves and Passive Skills that use ambiguous expressions.For example, the phrase “has a small chance” will be changed to “has a chance (20%),” and the phrase “restores a bit of the user’s HP” will be changed to “restores the user’s HP by approximately 40% of its maximum HP.”These improvements will apply to the text only. No changes will be made to actual capabilities.For more detailed examples, have a look at the Move and Passive Skill Text Improvements notification, which will be sent before the changes are made.

Story Event: All Aboard the Victory Train

The Story Event All Aboard the Victory Train will begin on June 29, 2021. At the same time, two sync pairs featuring the Unova region’s Subway Bosses, Ingo and Emmet, will be coming to the Scout: Ingo & Excadrill and Emmet & Archeops.


Ingo & Excadrill are a Support Sync Pair that can really make an impact by using Sandstorm.Thanks to their Passive Skill, they can nullify damage from sandstorms, and their Defense and Sp. Def will rise during a sandstorm.They also have a Move called All Aboard! This move raises the Attack and critical-hit rate of all allies—and it applies the Free Move Next effect to all allies if used during a sandstorm.Since this would enable Sync Pairs with powerful Moves to use those Moves more frequently, Ingo & Excadrill could be valuable to have on your team.


Emmet & Archeops are another Sync Pair that shines during sandstorms.They can’t use the Sandstorm move themselves, but they have several Passive Skills that can be a huge help in battle:
- One Passive Skill nullifies damage from sandstorms and boosts the power of the Sync Pair’s Moves (such as Stone Edge and Rock Slide) during a sandstorm.
- Another increases the move gauge cost of Moves while boosting their power, which can give this Rock-type Strike Sync Pair a lot of potential.
- A third increases their Attack by 50% when their HP is at half or above, so if they have the Damage Guard Next effect applied, they’ll be able to deal a lot of damage while withstanding an opponent’s attack.Emmet & Archeops also have a Move called Right on Track! This move lowers their Defense but raises their Attack and accuracy—and grants them the Damage Guard Next effect.

A Rock-Type Gear Event will begin on July 7, 2021. In this event, you can collect 3★ Rock-type gear, and all of the battles will be co-op battles.Three kinds of gear will be obtainable, so we hope you enjoy battling with other players as you collect the gear.

Rock and Ground-Type Egg Event

A Rock- and Ground-Type Egg Event will begin on July 11, 2021.This time, you’ll be able to get Eggs that hatch Omanyte, Cubone, or Aerodactyl.

Legendary Arena: Moltres

Also on July 11, 2021, Moltres will arrive in the Legendary Arena.Moltres is weak to Rock- and Water-type attacks. If you don’t have Sync Pairs of those types, try forming one with a Pokémon from the Rock- and Ground-Type Egg Event before you take on this battle. Strategy tips will be available this time as well, so give them a look if the battle is challenging. You’ll be able to find them in a notification for this event or from Battle Tips in the bottom right corner of the Legendary Arena’s difficulty selection screen.

Mid-July Story Event

A new Story Event will begin in mid-July. At the same time, seasonal Sync Pairs will appear. More details will be available when the event arrives, so stay tuned.

Sync Pair-Up Event

A Sync Pair-Up Event will begin in late July. Just like the Daily Region Rotation, this event is one of our plans to give players more chances to add Sync Pairs to their teams.In this event, you’ll be able to team up with Sync Pairs without using the Sync Pair Scout. We hope you stay tuned for more details when this event arrives.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late July. In it, we plan to share info about our two-year anniversary, as well as updates from late July to late August. We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

Legendary Arena: Regirock is back! Starting today, Legendary Arena: Regirock returns! New Event Missions have been added along with its return! You can complete higher difficulty missions to get Gems!

Legendary Arena

The Legendary Arena is a special battle area where you can form multiple teams and take on the challenge using a set number of sync pairs. You can complete the related missions to earn Medals that can only be obtained here!

• To attempt Legendary Arena missions, you must have completed Main Story Chapter 2: Defeat Team Break! (Normal) in single-player.
• Your area info and mission completion data will be saved at the event’s conclusion and will be used the next time this event returns.
• While Legendary Arena missions will also be displayed on the General missions screen, they cannot be attempted outside of the challenge period.
• The event missions held at the same time as the Legendary Arena do not count toward the completion requirements for Legendary Arena Mission Completion Rewards.
• All completion rewards for event missions held at the same time as the Legendary Arena must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• The time period and featured content are subject to change without notice.

In the Unova Challenge, you can go up against the Elite Four and Champion of Unova during the time period listed below.
Note: For the duration of the Unova Challenge detailed below, you will not be able to take on Champion Stadium battles for other regions.
Note: Medals for regions that are not currently active will be available during the next challenge that features those regions.
