HORI has announced that a Pokkén Tournament Controller for Wii U - Pikachu Version 「HORI - 「ポッ拳」専用コントローラー for Wii U ピカチュウ」 will be available to purchase in Japan in June 2016 for 3758 yen. HORI previously released a Gamecube controller featuring Pikachu in late 2014 for Wii/Wii U and the POKKÉN TOURNAMENT Exclusive Controller for Wii U on March 18th, 2016.

Nintendo of Japan has revealed that a Nintendo Wii U POKKÉN TOURNAMENT Set (Wii U　ポッ拳　POKKÉN TOURNAMENT セット) will be released on March 18th, 2016. The set will cost 36,800 yen and includes: a 32GB Black Wii U Premium Set, a digital copy of Pokkén Tournament, a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card and a Battle Pokémon Action List pamphlet.

Also being released on March 18th, 2016 for 3,480 yen will be the POKKÉN TOURNAMENT Exclusive Controller for Wii U (『ポッ拳』専用コントローラー for Wii U). It is a wired controller similar to the one that is used in the arcade version of POKKÉN TOURNAMENT. The controller is compatible with POKKÉN TOURNAMENT but it was revealed that the game is also compatible with the the Wii U GamePad, the Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller and the Classic Controller Pro controller so this new controller is not required to play the game.

Video Game accessory company HORI has announced they will release a Pikachu Classic Controller for Wii U/Wii (クラシックコントローラー for Wii U/Wii ピカチュウ) in Japan on December 20th, 2014. The controller is yellow and styled to look like Pikachu but despite the fact that it looks like a GameCube controller, it is a Classic Controller and it is plugs into the Wii Remote port and is not compatible with the Super Smash Bros. GameCube Controller adapter. It also comes with a Wii Remote plate and turbo button. The Pikachu Classic Controller will retail for 3,434 yen.
