Jinny is a classmate and friend of Parker Cerise. Parker Cerise called his sister Chloe Cerise to come assist is friend as the kids in his class were making fun of her because she brought her favorite Pokémon along with her which happened to be a Feebas. They didn't think it was a cute Pokémon but they also didn't believe Ash Ketchum or Goh when they told the kids that it's a great Pokémon that can even evolve into the incredible Pokémon Milotic.

She was invited to the Cerise Laboratory where she learned a lot about her Feebas. She got some training in at Cerise Park for The Friendship Festival in Slateport City in the Hoenn region which she participated in. In honor of her fantastic performance, strong friendship, and spectacular Evolution, they presented Jinny and Feeby with a special award at the end of the festival.
