Arven is a character that appears in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. He is a student at the Naranja and Uva Academies, depending on the games, and first appears as a mysterious, angry character. His parents are the world famous Professor Sada and Professor Turo, who were never there for him during his childhood. This caused Arven to learn how to fend for himself, becoming a great cook in the process, as well as resent his parents as well as Koraidon or Miraidon.

During the course of the game, he asks the player, Florian or Juliana, to join him in hunting the fabled "Herba Mystica" from Titan Pokemon's lairs, ingredients that can bring lots of power and healing to anyone who eats it. This is to help heal his partner Pokémon, Mabostiff, who was injured by a very strong Pokémon in the Great Crater of Paldea as he was searching for his parents.
