The Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon Has Been Discovered in Its Terastallized State!

Ogerpon has recently been sighted in its Terastallized state in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask, but its appearance seems to differ from that of most other Tera Pokémon. Exactly what sort of power this Legendary Pokémon possesses is still unknown.

Search for Pokémon to Photograph in the Timeless Woods!

During your adventure in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask, you will encounter Perrin, a young woman who is visiting Kitakami in hopes of encountering and photographing a certain Pokémon.

image image

Your search for this mysterious Pokémon will take you into the Timeless Woods, a place where the people of Kitakami rarely tread. With Perrin by your side, you’ll be able take snapshots of Pokémon in the area as you seek out the mysterious Pokémon together!

Perrin

Perrin is a camera-loving traveler with an easygoing personality. It seems she’s in search of a certain Pokémon and wants to take a photo of it.
image image image

Two Forms of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos!

It’s become clear that this recently discovered mystery Pokémon is, in fact, the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos in its Normal Form! It turns out that the form Terapagos was first discovered in is its Terastal Form. Apparently Terapagos is capable of taking on multiple distinct appearances.

Enter the Blueberry League and Take on Blueberry Academy’s Elite Four!

In The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, Blueberry Academy has its own Pokémon battling league called the Blueberry League—aka the BB League—where students battle each other and climb the ranks based on their skills. The school’s top four Trainers are known as the BB League Elite Four, and they’re looked up to by the entire student body.

You’ll receive an invitation to join the Blueberry League from Drayton, a member of the BB League Elite Four. You'll be able to take on the BB League Elite Four in the Terarium, where each biome is occupied by a different member of the BB League Elite Four.

Elite Trials: Preludes to BB League Elite Four Battles

To battle one of the BB League Elite Four, you must first pass their Elite Trial. Each trial is different. Aim to defeat the BB League Elite Four and become the best Trainer in Blueberry Academy!

image image

Flying

In order to tackle the Elite Trial set by Amarys, your Legendary Pokémon—Koraidon or Miraidon—can take a supplement that will grant it the power to fly! It seems this power is only temporary, but perhaps someday this hidden potential will be fully unleashed...

image image

The Members of the BB League Elite Four

image image image image
Left to Right: Lacey | Crispin | Amarys | Drayton

Lacey - Lacey is earnest and caring. She will show you around Blueberry Academy once you arrive.
Crispin - Crispin enjoys cooking and red-hot battles! After club activities are finished, he often puts his cooking skills to work so that he and the other three members of the Elite Four can all enjoy a meal together.
Amarys - Amarys is taciturn and keeps her cool in any situation—but underneath that ironclad exterior, she seems to really care about her friends.
Drayton - Drayton may act lackadaisical, but apparently he’s a force to be reckoned with in battle. He doesn’t seem to go to class often, and rumor has it he’s had to repeat a year thrice already.

Train Your Pokémon and Battle as a Member of the League Club!

In Blueberry Academy’s League Club in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, Trainers participating in the BB League—including the Elite Four—get together and train through Pokémon battles. You can also visit the clubroom to meet up with people you’ve encountered at Blueberry Academy and deepen your bonds with them.

image image

The Clubroom Computer

You can use the computer in the clubroom to lend a hand to other clubs that need funding for their activities. If you donate Blueberry Points (BP), a currency used within the academy, you may receive thank-you gifts from clubs you’ve donated to. For example, if you donate BP to the Blueberry Academy art club, you’ll be able to redecorate the League Club room.

image image

Special Guests

During your time at Blueberry Academy, you’ll be able to invite familiar faces from the Paldea region for a visit. When you invite a Trainer over, you can talk to them and take photos together. If you defeat one of these Trainers in battle, you’ll also be able to trade Pokémon with them—and you might just see a side of them you hadn’t seen before.

POKÉMON ANNOUNCES NEW DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT FOR POKÉMON SCARLET AND POKÉMON VIOLET

Trainers to Continue Their Adventures in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

Bellevue, WA — February 27, 2023 — Today, on Pokémon Day, during a special Pokémon Presents video presentation that was streamed online to fans around the world, The Pokémon Company announced The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, new downloadable content for the blockbuster Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. Global sales of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet for the Nintendo Switch family of systems surpassed 10 million combined units in the first three days after their worldwide launch on November 18, 2022—the highest global sales for any software on any Nintendo platform within that timeframe. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will take fans deeper into the world of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet and consists of two different adventures—Part 1: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: The Teal Mask, launching in fall 2023, and Part 2: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: The Indigo Disk, releasing at a later date. Fans can purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero now on Nintendo eShop.[1]

“We are so grateful that millions of Trainers around the world have chosen to explore the expansive Paldea region,” said Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company. “In The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, fans will take a trip to the land of Kitakami, where they will meet new Pokémon and interesting characters. I sincerely hope that Trainers who embark on this new journey find the same excitement and joy they experienced when they encountered their first Pokémon.”

Players can use their current save data from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet to continue their adventure in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.[2] In this new downloadable content, players will be leaving the Paldea region, the setting of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, a school trip will take players to the land of Kitakami, where they will be joining an outdoors study program held jointly between their academy and another school. In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, players will be traveling to Blueberry Academy, a sister school of their own academy, as exchange students. While this tale is split into two parts, they link together to tell a connected story.

image

In Part 1: The Teal Mask, players will be chosen to take part in a school trip that is held each year in collaboration with another school. They’ll be taken to the land of Kitakami, where a great mountain towers over the land and the people live at its base. It is a place of tranquil natural expanses, featuring rice paddies and apple orchards. The trip seems to coincide with a festival regularly held in the village in Kitakami during this season, so the village is bustling with various street vendors and stalls. Players will meet new friends and Pokémon as they unravel the mysteries behind the folktales that have been passed down in this land.

image

In Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk, players will be able to encounter over 230 familiar Pokémon that have been found living in other regions but had not appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. This includes Pokémon that players will be able to bring to their games via Pokémon HOME or those received in trades.[3] Players will also encounter new Legendary Pokémon—Ogerpon in Part 1: The Teal Mask and Terapagos in Part 2: The Indigo Disk. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, three Pokémon named Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti also appear. They are beloved by the people of the village as heroes that protected the land of Kitakami in the past, and stone statues were made in their likeness to express the people’s gratitude.

Players who purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero by Tuesday, October 31, 2023, will be given a serial code for a special gift: a Hisuian Zoroark with three special features.[4] This Hisuian Zoroark knows the move Happy Hour, which it cannot learn through normal gameplay, along with Tera Blast, Bitter Malice, and Nasty Plot. It has the Charismatic Mark, and it has Dark as its Tera Type. The serial code will be valid until Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Notes:

[1] To purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero from the in-game menu, players must have updated their Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game to version 1.2.0 or higher. Full version of game required to use DLC for that game. Sold separately.

[2] To begin the main story of Part 1: The Teal Mask, players will need to have begun their Treasure Hunt in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. The start of the Treasure Hunt occurs after about three hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary. To begin the main story of Part 2: The Indigo Disk, players will need to have reached the ending of their Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game and completed the main story of Part 1: The Teal Mask.

[3] Please see here for a list of other titles compatible with Pokémon HOME. The Pokémon that players will be able transfer to each game via Pokémon HOME are limited to Pokémon that can appear in those games.

[4] Players may be able to get Hisuian Zoroark in different ways in the future. Players will need to connect their Nintendo Switch system to the internet to claim this early-purchase bonus. The user profile on a player’s system will need to be linked to a Nintendo Account to connect to the internet. Players can use the serial code for this bonus only once. After they’ve used the code to claim their gift, players will not be able to use the same code in another save file. It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay before players can access the Mystery Gift feature and use serial codes.

POKÉMON SWORD + POKÉMON SWORD EXPANSION PASS & POKÉMON SHIELD + POKÉMON SHIELD EXPANSION PASS BUNDLES OUT NOW

Newly Discovered Legendary Pokémon in The Crown Tundra Also Revealed

For those that haven’t yet started an adventure in the Galar region, these bundles include the same game content players would receive by purchasing either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield (physical or downloadable version) and the corresponding Expansion Pass separately—all preloaded on a single game card.

Trainers that purchase the new bundles will receive one hundred Poké Balls as an in-game special purchase bonus, as well as codes for the Pikachu Uniform and Eevee Uniform that were previously offered as special purchase bonuses for buying the base game and corresponding Expansion Pass separately.[1]

Players can also now discover new Legendary Pokémon within The Crown Tundra, as well as uncover the story behind the Legendary Pokémon Calyrex. Stories tell of a ruffian Pokémon that once reigned like a lord over the other Pokémon of the Crown Tundra. Time and again, it would grow enraged with humans who intruded on its territory, and it would hurt those humans and their Pokémon. But then the Legendary Pokémon Calyrex appeared and defeated the ruffian, which eventually bonded with the regal Pokémon and became its loyal steed.

Newly Discovered Legendary Pokémon

pokemon

Glastrier
Category: Wild Horse Pokémon
Height: 7'3"
Weight: 1,763.7 lbs.
Type: Ice
Ability: Chilling Neigh

Glastrier generates intense cold air within its body and emits that cold from its nose and hooves. This cold air covers its face and legs in unyielding ice, giving its attacks extraordinary destructive power. Nimble movements are not Glastrier’s strong suit, but it can use the cold exuded from its hooves to freeze the ground, letting it shoot off sliding across the ice to close distances in a flash during battle. Glastrier’s Ability, Chilling Neigh, is a new Ability introduced with the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass. When a Pokémon with this Ability knocks out a target, its Attack stat is boosted.

pokemon

Spectrier
Category: Swift Horse Pokémon
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 98.1 lbs.
Type: Ghost
Ability: Grim Neigh

This Pokémon craves silence and solitude and tends to be active at night when its energy is heightened. Its nocturnal habits have left its eyesight weak, but Spectrier’s other four senses are keenly sharpened, and they give it an accurate sense of the terrain and the locations of living things. Spectrier’s Ability, Grim Neigh, is a new Ability introduced with the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass. When a Pokémon with this Ability knocks out a target, its Sp. Atk stat is boosted.

pokemon

Ice Rider Calyrex
Category: High King Pokémon
Height: 7'10"
Weight: 1,783.8 lbs.
Type: Psychic/Ice
Ability: As One

Glastrier’s powers are heightened by Calyrex’s psychic energy. The cold Glastrier emits can reach five hundred degrees below zero. It also has the endurance to run for seven days and nights on end, no matter how rough the road, by instantly freezing and smashing through any obstacles in its path. Glastrier’s intense cold has brought out the full potential of Calyrex’s psychic powers as well. This lets Calyrex manifest its powers over a radius of more than 30 miles.

pokemon

Shadow Rider Calyrex
Category: High King Pokémon
Height: 7'10"
Weight: 118.2 lbs.
Type: Psychic/Ghost
Ability: As One

Spectrier’s skills have been heightened by Calyrex’s psychic energy. It is swift enough to run thousands of miles in a single day, and its spectral powers have gained strength. Moreover, Spectrier’s unearthly might has unlocked the full potential of Calyrex’s psychic power. This lets Calyrex see all events from past to future. The regal Pokémon can manifest this power over a radius of more than 30 miles.

The Crown Tundra

pic

The Crown Tundra is the second area you’ll be able to visit with your Expansion Pass. See for yourself this vast landscape, with its drifts of glittering snow! In this frigid area with jagged, snowy mountains, people have settled in a small, tight-knit community.

Early in your adventures here, a man named Peony will appoint you as the leader of his exploration team in the Crown Tundra. You’ll be tasked with investigating the reaches of this frozen land—including the depths of a Pokémon Den, something you’ve so far been able to glimpse only during Max Raid Battles!

What’s more, it seems many Legendary Pokémon make the Crown Tundra their home.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield with DLC Physical Bundles

pic pic

Starting Friday, November 6, you’ll be able to purchase a bundle pack consisting of the Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield base game as well as that game’s corresponding Expansion Pass.

This bundle pack contains the same game content you would receive by purchasing either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield (physical or downloadable version) and the corresponding Expansion Pass separately. All included software comes preloaded on a single game card.

For those of you who haven’t yet started an adventure in the Galar region, here’s your chance to experience everything it has to offer!

Special purchase bonus

pic

If you purchase the Pokémon Sword + Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass or Pokémon Shield + Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass bundle, you’ll be able to receive one hundred Poké Balls as a special purchase bonus to help add Pokémon to your team as you adventure throughout the Galar region!

To claim your one hundred Poké Balls, you’ll need to enter a special code. You can do this by accessing the X menu and selecting Mystery Gift, then Get a Mystery Gift, then Get with Code/Password.

You will also receive codes for the Pikachu Uniform and Eevee Uniform that were previously offered as special purchase bonuses for purchasing the base game and corresponding Expansion Pass separately.

You will be able to access the Mystery Gift menu in the game by the time you’ve reached the first Pokémon Center, which occurs after about an hour of gameplay (individual gameplay time may vary). Please note that an internet connection is required to receive these bonuses, but you will not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive them.

Also, you can use these codes only once and only with a single save file. You won’t be able to use these codes to claim these purchase bonuses in multiple save files.

Legendary Pokémon from past games are back!

pic

With The Crown Tundra, you’ll be able to encounter every Legendary Pokémon that’s appeared in the main series of Pokémon games! Find Legendary Pokémon during your travels in the Crown Tundra or while you’re on Dynamax Adventures, and you’ll have a chance to catch them! Some Legendary Pokémon appear only in Pokémon Sword with the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass, while others appear only in Pokémon Shield with the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass.

Galarian Star Tournament!

Once you progress far enough in your adventure in The Crown Tundra, you’ll be able to participate in the Galarian Star Tournament, held in the city of Wyndon! This tournament is Leon’s brainchild, intended to fire up the spirits of the Galar region. Once you accept Leon’s invitation, you’ll be able to pick a partner from among the many Trainers you’ve met throughout your adventures in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield—as well as the Expansion Pass—and team up for a Multi Battle tournament! Depending on who your partner and your opponents are, you may glimpse new sides of some familiar faces!

The Ability Patch: A new useful item for raising Pokémon

In The Crown Tundra, you may get new items called Ability Patches. They’re hard to come by but worth the effort. If you use one on a Pokémon, its Ability will change to its species’ Hidden Ability, if it has one! With an Ability Patch and a helping of Max Soup from the Isle of Armor, you can bring out the Hidden Ability of the first partner Pokémon you chose at the beginning of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield and give it the capability to Gigantamax as well.

If you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, you’ll receive the Mythical Pokémon Melmetal as a Mystery Gift in Pokémon HOME. This Melmetal is a special one that hasn’t been available before—this Melmetal can Gigantamax in any battle in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield that allows it, such as a Max Raid Battle!

Please be aware that Pokémon HOME Mystery Gifts are only available on the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME, and the ability to connect to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is available only on the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME. Also note that you cannot feed Melmetal the Max Soup from The Isle of Armor, the first wave of content for the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass. Depending on your OS or device, you may not be able to use certain features. Gigantamax Melmetal

As an additional benefit, if you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to open the Mystery Box in Pokémon GO. Doing so will make the Mythical Pokémon Meltan appear on the map for a limited time. If you have previously used the Mystery Box, though, you must wait a certain length of time before you can use it again. Trainers who do not yet have a Mystery Box in Pokemon GO will be able to get one if they send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO connectivity with Pokémon HOME

pic

Connectivity between Pokémon HOME and Pokémon GO is planned to be up and running by the end of the year.

This link will let you send Pokémon you’ve caught in Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME. From there, some of these Pokémon can be brought into Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield to join your Galarian adventures.

In order to bring certain Pokémon that were caught in Pokémon GO and then transferred to Pokémon HOME into a Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game, the Pokémon must either be registered in the Pokédex of that game or have been obtained at least once in that game. Screenshot Left

When preparing to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, please be aware that you must have completed the tutorial section of the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME. There are some special Pokémon that cannot be sent to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO.

Be aware that Pokémon transferred to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO cannot be returned to Pokémon GO. Further details on connectivity between these titles will come in future updates. Please visit the Pokémon HOME website for details on other titles that have connectivity with Pokémon HOME.

Connectivity between Pokémon GO and Pokémon HOME Also Coming Soon

Today, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo announced that The Crown Tundra, the second set of downloadable content for the blockbuster Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games, will launch on October 22. In The Crown Tundra, Trainers can explore a vast, frigid landscape with jagged, snowy mountains and drifts of glittering snow. The Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass are available for purchase in Nintendo eShop[1]. Starting on November 6, Trainers will have the opportunity to purchase bundle packs consisting of the Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield base game as well as that game’s corresponding Expansion Pass, which includes The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra.[2] These bundle packs are well suited for Trainers who have yet to embark on their journeys in the Galar region.

During a video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, also unveiled newly discovered Pokémon, new game features, and exciting in-game bonuses for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield or the Expansion Passes, as well as updates to Pokémon GO.

This move doesn’t only deal damage to opponents—it also prevents them from using the same move consecutively.

Dynamax Adventures

In Dynamax Adventures, players will team up with three other Trainers to explore a Pokémon Den where Dynamax Pokémon are said to lurk. Instead of their regular Pokémon team, players and their fellow Trainers will choose Pokémon that they can temporarily use for battle (rental Pokémon) to bring along into the depths of the den. Players will have to work together with their three teammates in a Max Raid Battle whenever they encounter a wild Dynamax Pokémon during their exploration. If they win the battle, players will have the opportunity to catch the Pokémon, and one Trainer on the team can swap the newly caught Pokémon for the Pokémon they had before. Trainers can delve even deeper into the den with Endless Dynamax Adventures, which enable the player to continue until they lose a battle.

Legendary Pokémon

With The Crown Tundra, Trainers will be able to encounter every Legendary Pokémon that’s appeared in the main series of Pokémon video games. Players can find—and catch—Legendary Pokémon during their travels in the Crown Tundra or while they’re on Dynamax Adventures.[3]

Special Event with Pikachu

To celebrate the launch of The Crown Tundra, there will be a special in-game event for players to receive eight different Pikachu for their teams. Beginning Tuesday, September 29, and up through Friday, October 30, Trainers can find special passwords in various places including the Play Pokémon Twitter feed, and the Pokémon Trainer Club e-mail newsletter. When Trainers enter the passwords into their Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game, they can obtain Pikachu—and not just one but eight, each donning a different cap.[4]
