To promote and tie in with the Pocket Monsters Best Wishes episodes Tornelos VS Voltolos VS Landlos! (トルネロスVSボルトロスVSランドロス！), a Japanese Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection event was announced in the December 2011 Corocoro. Players of Japanese version of Pokémon Black can receive the legendary Pokémon Voltolos while players of the Japanese version of Pokémon White can receive Tornelos.

In Pokémon Smash 62, the details of the event Pokémon were fully revealed.



In the original airing of Pocket Monsters Best Wishes #61 on December 15th, 2011, the Okido segment at the end of the show featured a promotion for the Voltolos and Tornelos event distribution. The event distribution was then activated a half an hour after the airing of the episode at 20:00JST on the the 15th, despite the official start distribution date of December 16th, 2011.



McDonalds commercials that were promoting the Happy Set collection for December 2011 also had a promotion for the event which was also being distributed at McD de DS (マックでDS) locations.

The January 2012 issue of CoroCoro has announced that a brand new Pokémon game will be revealed in next issue of CoroCoro which will be released in Japan on January 14th, 2012. Further information regarding the game was not released other than it will be a shocking announcement.

Also announced was a special alternate colored Dragon eggs event at the Pokémon Center's to commemorate year of the Dragon. Players of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White can visit the Pokémon Center's and receive an egg each week for four weeks. The four distribution periods are: 1: January 6th, 2012 to January 15th, 2012, 2: January 16th, 2012 to January 22nd, 2012, 3: January 23rd, 2012 to January 29th, 2012 and 4: January 30th, 2012 to February 5th, 2012. Players will randomly receive one of six different Dragon Pokémon. The six Pokémon that will be distributed are: Tattu, Nuckrar, Tyltto, Tatsubay, Crimgan and Monozu.

When you visit Nimbasa City’s Musical Theater in your Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version game, you’ll have a new Musical show for your Pokémon to perform: Dressed-Up Pokémon!

For player of the Japanese and Korean Pokémon Black and White, the final Deerling C-Gear form has been released. The Winter Form Deerling will be available on the Japanese and Korean Pokémon Global Link from December 1st, 2011 until January 6th, 2012. No password is required as it is automatically unlocked. Pokémon Global Link Dream World Expansions

Japan will be receiving the Japanese Winter Decor items on the Pokémon Global Link Dream World which is currently available in most regions of the world. It will be on the Japanese Dream World from December 7th, 2011 until January 3rd, 2012. Korea will also be getting the "Pokémon Movie" Dream World expansion (포켓몬 영화) to promote the release of the 14th movies there. The expansion was previously only available on the Japanese Dream World. The expansion will be available on the Korean Dream World for a limited time starting on December 14th, 2011.

Lucario Japanese Pokémon Global Link Dream World Event Download

Famitsu has announced that they will be releasing a password on December 22nd, 2011 in the magazine Weekly Famitsu to unlock a Lucario on the Japanese Pokémon Global Link Dream World. Lucario is Level 10 and knows the Ability Justified. It knows the special move: Bullet Punch. Further details were not announced.

Korean Reshiram and Zekrom Movie Event Downloads

The official Korean Pokémon Website has also announced that in addition to the Victini that is being distributed, Reshiram and Zekrom will also be distributed from December 22, 2011 until February 2nd, 2012 to promote Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom. Players require the Korean version of Pokémon Black and White to download them and they will be transferred by local DS Wi-Fi at participating theaters.

Movie 14 Ending Theme for Korea

The Korean version of Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (비크티니와 흑의 영웅 제크로무 / 비크티니와 백의 영웅 레시라무) received a trailer debuting the ending theme 'Miracle' (기적) sung by Whale (웨일) from the group W&Whale. The official Japanese Pokémon website has announced that Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokémon, will be distributed at the Pokémon Centers in Japan. To thank customers for their patronage during 2011, the Pokémon Centers will be offering the Shaymin as a Wi-Fi download for the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White from December 19th, 2011 until January 5th, 2012. Also, if players return to a Pokémon Center between January 1st, 2012 and January 15th, 2012 and show a Pokémon Center staff member the Shaymin in its Sky Forme, the staff member will give the player a special Shaymin thank you card.

Swiss gaming companies Softridge and Gamespot have announced that they will be distributing the Darkrai that has also been distributed recently in other European countries.

The official Pokémon website has also announced that Darkrai will be distributed in Spain from November 23rd, 2011 until December 31st, 2011 at participating Gamespot locations.

The Japanese Pokémon Centers have announced that a Master Ball (マスターボール) will be distributed at the Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Sapporo Pokémon Centers to celebrate the release of the Official "Learn to Know the Pocket Monsters Black and White National Zukan" Book (ポケットモンスターブラック・ホワイト公式 ポケモンぜんこく図鑑がよくわかる本). It will be distributed from November 19th, 2011 until December 3rd, 2011. Players of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White can receive the gift.


Starting December 17th, the Pokémon Centers will be selling small monster ball straps. Each ball can be opened, and contains a folded-up AR marker for use with the Pokédex 3D. Click here for the imageboard thread to see all the different monster ball straps. They will sell for 500 yen each.

Players of the French version of Pokémon Black and White can visit participating Toys 'R' Us locations in France to receive a free Darkrai and a free Pokédex 3D and Super Pokémon Rumble poster while supplies last. The Darkrai will be distributed from November 14th, 2011 until November 26th, 2011. The Darkrai is the same Winter Darkrai that was distributed in Japan earlier in the year.


Two special distribution event dates were also announced for Paris at La Défense Cedex and Toulon at the Centre Commercial Grand Var. Pikachu and his friends Moustillon, Gruikui and Vipélierre will also be in attendance. Both events take place from 14:00hours until 18:00.

The Croagunk C-Gear and Event Passwords have been announced for UK, Germany and Spain. The password to unlock the Croagunk event for North America: was announced last week on IGN. The password for the C-Gear skin in Germany was revealed in the N-Zone Magazine 12/11 Ausgabe 176 and it's: CRONZONE while the event Croagunk's password is: CROACNZONE. The Christmas issue of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK announced the Croagunk C-Gear skin password as: CRONintendoOfficial while the event Croagunk password is CROACNintendoOfficial. Following on from last month's Mamoswine giveaway, we've got more exclusive passwords that will unlock Pokémon Black and White goodies through the Pokémon Global Link. Not only have we got a free Croagunk but we've also got a Croagunk C-Gear to share with you.

It's all thanks to the Pokémon company which gave us the codes to celebrate the launch of the Rugged Mountain area in Pokémon Global Link.

Croagunk is the only poison/fighting type Pokémon and you'll be able to get him for Pokémon Black and White by entering CROACNintendoOfficial in the Pokémon Global Link website from 5am on Wednesday 16 November. You'll need to be signed in to the Global Link to do this.

If you would like the Croagunk C-Gear skin (why wouldn't you?) you need to enter the password CRONintendoOfficial in the Pokémon Global Link from 5am on Wednesday.

The official Korean website has announced the details for the V-Create Victini distribution. Like the V-Create Victini distribution in Japan, those who pre-order tickets for the upcoming 14th movies Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (비크티니와 흑의 영웅 제크로무 / 비크티니와 백의 영웅 레시라무) are able to download the Pokémon from December 15th, 2011 until December 31st, 2011. The movie will debut in Korean theaters on December 22nd, 2011. While full details of the Victini will not be announced until December 8th, 2011, the currently revealed information matches the Japanese distributed V-Create Victini.


Gamestop and Toys 'R' Us Germany have also announced a Darkrai which was to be distributed from November 14th, 2011 until January 31st, 2012 but it was pushed back to November 21th, 2011 until January 31st, 2012. Some Toys 'R' Us location were distributing it early though. The Darkrai will be distributed at participating locations to German player of Pokémon Black and White. The Darkrai is the same Winter Darkrai that was distributed in Japan earlier in the year.
