Starting August 31st, be sure to update Pokédex 3D to unlock a number of features. This will immediately unlock the data of six Pokémon, including Reshiram and Zekrom, that you could previously get only by scanning Pokémon AR Markers. It will also make all other Pokémon data downloadable through SpotPass, including all form variations, which were previously available only by connecting with friends. To update Pokédex 3D, start the application and tap the Settings icon, then scroll down to the Update icon.

If you haven’t downloaded Pokédex 3D yet, time is running out! The free application will be available in the Nintendo eShop only until October 1, 2012. Once you get Pokédex 3D, you’ll need to update it to unlock all the features. After October 1st, the application will no longer be available in the Nintendo eShop, but it will remain on your Nintendo 3DS system until you choose to remove it. As long as it is already installed on your Nintendo 3DS system, you’ll still be able to receive Pokémon data via SpotPass until January 1, 2013.

Then, look forward to the launch of Pokédex 3D Pro, available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop beginning November 8th. Pokédex 3D Pro will feature over 640 Pokémon from the National Pokédex, and it includes a number of awesome new features!
