The official Japanese Pokémon site just revealed that remakes of Pocket Monsters Ruby and Pocket Monsters Sapphire, titled Pocket Monsters Omega Ruby 『ポケットモンスター オメガルビー』 and Pocket Monsters Alpha Sapphire 『ポケットモンスター アルファサファイア』, will be released this November.

Pokémon fans will collect, battle, and trade Pokémon in a new adventure.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favourite hits on the Game Boy Advance system. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.

A new game for the Nintendo 3DS was announced today called Pokémon Art Academy (ポケモンアートアカデミー). The game allows people to learn how to draw Pokémon by using the 3DS stylus. It will go on sale in Japan on June 19th, 2014 for 3619yen in retail stores and on the Nintendo eShop.

The Super Smash Bros. Direct which was broadcast on April 8th, 2014 revealed that Mega Charizard and Greninja will be main playable characters in the upcoming game Super Smash Bros. The Nintendo 3DS version runs at 60fps while some of the Pokémon and Assist Trophies will only run at 30fps.

It was also revealed the non-playable Pokémon will be able to come out of the Master Ball item. The following Pokémon may randomly come out of the Master Ball: Arceus, Meowth, Electrode, Eevee, Staryu, Metagross, Fennekin, Meloetta, Gogoat, Entei, Deoxys, Palkia, Kyurem, Victini, Keldeo, Xerneas, Goldeen, Snorlax, Mew, Bellossom, Entei, Darkrai, Chespin, Spewpa, Dedenne.

The Pokémon Company International announced that the 17th Pokémon movie will be called: Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. It was also revealed that Pokémon X and Y have almost sold a combined total of 12 million copies worldwide since their October 2013 launch, This brings the overall Pokémon video games sales to date at approximately 245 million. More than 20 billion Pokémon TCG cards gave shipped globally and anime is licensed for broadcast in more than 160 countries and in more than 30 languages.

New Feature Film and Television Season, Video-on-Demand Deals, and More Broadcast Partners Help Bring More Pokémon Animation to More People

Cannes, Paris—April 7, 2014—The Pokémon Company International kicked off MIPTV by announcing its newest feature-length animated film, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, which is now available for license. The movie features Ash and Pikachu, plus other classic Pokémon as well as those making their animation debut from the blockbuster Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video games. With more broadcast and VOD partners signed, brand-new TV animation in homes, and the new movie on the horizon, 2014 promises to be a strong year for Pokémon animation.

Pokémon’s expanded VOD offerings include deals with Netflix and Hulu. Fans in all Netflix territories have enjoyed classic Pokémon seasons and movies since content launched in March, and fan favorite Pokémon animation also debuted on Hulu in the US this February. The Netflix and Hulu deals come after The Pokémon Company International launched the Pokémon TV application for iOS and Android devices in 2013.

Fans in Russia will once again enjoy their favorite animated episodes, as Pokémon and the Russian free-to-air broadcaster 2X2 recently signed a deal to begin airing Pokémon the Series: XY this September. The season, which is already airing in numerous markets around the world, brings the total number of Pokémon episodes to nearly 800. 2X2 joins European partners including CITV in the UK, Gulli in France, K2 in Italy, YEP! in Germany, Clan TV in Spain, TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway, VT4 and Club RTL in Belgium, and Disney XD in markets across Europe. Movie Summary

In the underground Diamond Domain, where many Carbink live, the Mythical Pokémon Diancie serves as ruler. The Heart Diamond that sustains the land is beginning to fall apart, and Diancie is not yet strong enough to create a new one. The Pokémon Company has announced, in association with the J-League, their Family Join Days (ファミリーJoinデイズ) festivities. To coincide with Golden Week, the J-League Family Join Days will take place from Saturday April 26th, 2014 until Tuesday May 6th, 2014. Elementary aged children that attend specific soccer games can receive special Pikachu TCG cards as a promo while supplies last. In addition there will also be a venue at the stadium to meet Pikachu.

A special Darkrai TCG card will be given to people that pre-order tickets for the 17th Pocket Monsters movie. People that spend 800yen or more on TCG related products can also receive the card while supplies last. Darkrai will be appearing in the upcoming 17th Movie short Pikachu, What Kind of Keys are These?

As a special bonus, at home games for the Urawa RED Diamonds, F.C Tokyo and Yokohama F Marinos, special Nintendo 3DS LL's featuring the team colors and artwork featuring Satoshi, Xerneas and Yveltal on the front and Pikachu and Diance on the back based on the 17th Pocket Monsters movie will be given out via lottery. The number of systems that will be given out will be determined by the score of the home team during the match.

A Lumiose City Stage has been confirmed to be included in the upcoming Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS. Masahiro Sakurai (桜井政博), Director of the game, posted on Miiverse that in the upcoming game, "The Prism Tower rises above Lumiose City. Up until a few seconds ago, the fighters were brawling on top of that tower. No, really."

Nintendo has confirmed that a Pokémon Battle TROZEi Download Card (『ポケモンバトルトローゼ』のダウンロードカード) will be available to purchase at participating retail stores across Japan on March 12th, 2014 for 762yen (excluding tax). All Pokémon Centers will also sell the download card.

How to Participate:

The Regional Heats are single elimination knock-out for each tournament category. All tournament rules adhere to the official rules for the Pokémon Video Game '14 Season unless stated otherwise. The winner of each tournament heat is entered into the Grand Final in London on April 26th, 2014.

Ultimate Pokémon Expert

Ultimate Pokémon Expert is for players aged 13 and over. Players must bring their own console and copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y for use in the tournament. The battles are conducted under Double Battle Flat Rules. The Grand Final prize is a trip to Tokyo for two people for seven nights, including flights, accommodation and a trip to the Pokémon Centre. The winner and runner-up at the Grand Final will receive fast track entries to the second round of the Official Play! Pokémon UK VCG Championships in May 2014. Winners will be placed in the appropriate age category for the Play! Pokémon series events based on The Pokémon Company International rules set for the season.

Junior Pokémon Expert

Junior Pokémon Expert is for players aged 12 or under. Players must bring their own console and copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y for use in the tournament. The battles are conducted under Double Battle Flat Rules. The Grand Final prize is a family trip for four to The Alton Towers Theme Park & Resort, including 3 nights' accommodation and weekend access to the theme parks. The winner and runner-up at the Grand Final will receive fast track entries to the second round of the Official Play! Pokémon UK VCG Championships in May 2014. Winners will be placed in the appropriate age category for the Play! Pokémon series events based on The Pokémon Company International rules set for the season.

Pokémon Apprentice

Players can bring their own console and copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y for use in the tournament, or they will provide players with a console and game with a pre-set team. Battles are conducted under Double Battle Normal Rules. All Pokémon entered as part of the team may not hold items, including Mega Stones, or exceed Level 50 in their normal state. The Grand Final prize is a bundle of Nintendo 3DS games coming out in 2014, plus a collection of Pokémon Trading Card Game packs.

Ultimate Pokémon Team

The Ultimate Pokémon Team is for family teams of two. The older player must be aged 16+, and the younger aged 12 or under. Players can bring their own console and copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y for use in the tournament, or they provide players with a console and game with a pre-set team. Battles are conducted under Four Player, Double Battle Normal Rules. All Pokémon entered as part of the team may not hold items, including Mega Stones. The younger team member's Pokémon may not exceed Level 50 in their normal state. The older team member can enter Pokémon at any level. The Grand Final prize is £250 of Nintendo UK Online Store Vouchers, plus a trip for four to London including tickets to the EGX London exhibition.

During the Nintendo Direct on February 14th, 2014, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced Pokémon Battle TROZEi (ポケモンバトルトローゼ). The Nintendo 3DS game is puzzle matching game that will go on sale on March 12th, 2014 for 762yen on the Nintendo eShop. It is the sequel to the original Pokémon Trozei!​ ( ポケモントローゼ). The game features the first 718 Pokémon, each of which has "cool and cute icons". Screenshots and images have been added to an Imageboard thread.

This game is called Pokémon Link: Battle in Europe and will go on sale March 13th, 2014. The game is called Pokémon Battle Trozei in North America and will go on sale March 20th, 2014.

The Pokémon that appears on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS/2DS is the wild Pokémon that players are currently facing in battle. Players make matches of the same Pokémon by lining three of them in a row and to attack and reduce the HP of the wild Pokémon that they are facing. When the wild Pokémon's HP reaches zero, the player will be able to Trozei that Pokémon,

During the game, the wild Pokémon will also attack the player and the Trozei Box will lose some of its energy. If the Trozei Box’s energy reaches zero, it’s game over.

The game takes advantage of the StreetPass function to allow players to exchange play data, share a players favorite Pokémon and to receive Pokémon to become the players ally.
