Nintendo of America has revealed that The New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon 20th Anniversary bundle will be released in North America on February 27th, 2016. Nintendo of Europe has announced that the Nintendo 2DS bundles pre-installed Virtual Console version of Pokémon Red, Blue or Yellow that were previously announced for Japan will also be coming to Europe on February 27th, 2016.

The New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon 20th Anniversary bundle

Return to where it all began when Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow relaunch on Nintendo eShop for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family on February 27, 2016.

Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue will also be included in a special New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon 20th Anniversary bundle. In this awesome bundle, the games will come pre-installed on a New Nintendo 3DS system that can be customized with a Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue theme, as well as two cover plates featuring artwork from the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue boxes and the Pokémon 20th logo. The New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon 20th Anniversary bundle will launch on February 27, 2016 at participating stores.

Nintendo Japan has revealed 3 new Pokémon Nintendo 3DS themes: Pokémon Peeking Friends (ポケモン ぴょっこりフレンズ), Pokémon Traditional Japanese Pattern 'Poké Crests' and 'Kokeshi Dolls' (ポケモン 和柄 ~「ポケ紋」と「こけし」) and Pokémon Poké Kyun Collection (ポケモン ポケキュンコレクション). These themes cost 200yen each and are available for purchase as of December 22nd, 2015 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop store.

Pokémon Peeking Friends (ポケモン ぴょっこりフレンズ)


Features: "Pyokkori" Pokémon have very cute faces in this theme. The lower screen includes the fan favorites Pikachu and Eevee heads peaking out on a panoramic wallpaper. The upper screen features the Pokémon from behind and is designed to be charming.

Pokémon Traditional Japanese Pattern 'Poké Crests' and 'Kokeshi Dolls' (ポケモン 和柄 ~「ポケ紋」と「こけし」)


Features: This Japanese-style theme is decorated with Pokémon that have become Kokeshi dolls as well as Pokémon Crests. When the user slides, the Pokémon Kokeshi dolls on the bottom screen will sway back and forth.

On November 12th, 2015, Nintendo broadcasted their first Nintendo Direct since the death of former Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. A lot of new Pokémon game information was revealed. Images from the press kit have been added to an Imageboard thread.

Latest Nintendo Direct Announces Pokémon Games—Including the Games That Started It All—Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version for Virtual Console

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon launch date and limited edition Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card revealed for Pokkén Tournament

The Pokémon Company International announced several new games today during the latest Nintendo Direct. The new games include Pokémon Picross and the relaunch of Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version on the Virtual Console for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family. Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon and Pokkén Tournament were also featured in the presentation.

Nintendo 3DS

Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version: On February 27, 2016, the games that started it all, Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version, will be relaunched on the Virtual Console for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family. This time there is no need for a Game Boy link cable as fans can battle and trade just like they did in 1999, but now via wireless communication on Nintendo 3DS.

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon: The latest installment of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series that has sold more than 13 million units worldwide is launching for Nintendo 3DS on February 19. With turn-based battles and ever-changing dungeons, players can encounter every single known Pokémon in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon—all 720 of them!

Pokémon Picross: The popular Picross series meets the world of Pokémon when Pokémon Picross launches in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS in early December. Pokémon Picross will be downloadable at no charge and will have over 300 stages plus an advanced mode. After solving number puzzles to complete pictures of Pokémon, fans will be able to add them to their collection in the game.

Pokkén Tournament: Developed in collaboration with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc., producers of TEKKEN®, one of the most successful fighting-game franchises in history, Pokkén Tournament brings Pokémon to life in a way never seen before where Pokémon move in direct response to the player’s actions while battling. Fans who purchase a first-run version of the game at retail will receive a limited-edition Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card that immediately unlocks the character in the game after tapping it to the Wii U GamePad. Pokkén Tournament launches for Wii U in spring 2016.

Nintendo Direct - November 12th, 2015 Video


A retail packaged Nintendo 3DS cart version of Everyone's Pokémon Scramble will be released in Japan on November 19th, 2015. Until now, the game was free to download off the Nintendo eShop. The retail version will include 3000 PokéDiamonds for use at the beginning of the game and the PokéDiamond Digger can be accessed. Save data between the retail and download versions of the game are not compatible.

The official Pokémon Shuffle website announced a new event taking place this week for the 3DS version. Details of this event have been added to our event page and information of patch 1.2.14 has also been added to our database page.

Lugia High-Speed Challenge

A new kind of special stage, the High-Speed Challenge debuted with the Lugia stage. The High-Speed Challenge allows players to battle Pokémon within a limited time frame. Lugia deals out disruption after disruption to impede the player for just 30 seconds.

Lugia’s skill is Eject+ which can erase three Pokémon that have been placed in the puzzle area by your foe’s disruptions.

These themes cost 200yen and 250yen each and are available for purchase from August 19th, 2015 until September 30th, 2015 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop store.

Pokémon Pikachu's Voice! (ポケモン ボイスつき!ピカチュウト)


Features: Pikachu's in a colorful theme with a large picture of Pikachu's face on the top screen. Pikachu's voice also plays during user actions such as when sleep mode is canceled, sliding the screen or starting software.

To promote the release of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon in Japan, a New Nintendo 3DS cover plate has been revealed which will go on sale on September 17th, 2015 for 2000yen plus tax. The cover plate features some of the main Pokémon from the game.

Hori has revealed new Pocket Monsters Pikachu Premium Sets for New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS LL. The sets went on sale in Japan on July 1st, 2015 and feature Pikachu. The New Nintendo 3DS set costs 2570yen and the LL set costs 2678yen. Each set includes: a top cover, a bottom cover, a screen protector for top and bottom screens, a decorative sticker, a card case and a manual.
