The Pokémon Center's Exciting Birthday (ポケモンセンターわくわくおたんじょうび) has been updated! Starting on November 1st, 2023, the presents that patrons will receive on their birthday when visiting the Pokémon Center have been updated.

Present 1: Pamo or Carbou

You will receive a serial code for your Pokémon Scarlet or Violet game to get either a Pamo or a Carbou! You can choose which one you want. Bring your Nintendo Switch (or Nintendo Switch Lite) and a copy of Pokémon Scarlet or Violet to the Pokémon Center.

Present 2: Birthday Bouquet Card

A Birthday Bouquet Card depicting Pikachu and its friends wishing you a happy birthday will be given out! By scanning the 2D code on the card, you can watch a special Celebratory Video.

To receive the presents

Please bring an official identification such as an insurance card, driver's license, passport for proof of your birthday. The period during which you can receive the gift is your birthday month. For example, if your birthday is on August 25th, the period will be from August 1st to August 31st. Each person is limited to receiving one gift per birthday month.

Just like at Pokémon Centers nationwide in Japan, you will receive a serial code to receive a Pamo or a Carbou as well as a Birthday Bouquet Card! In addition, they will deliver your purchase in a special shipping box.

On Saturday, September 30th, 2023, new plushies from the Paldea region, the setting of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games, will be available at the Pokémon Center! Available this time are: Kojio, Nonokurage and Nokokocchi. Enjoy the feeling of adventure with these three unique plushies! The Pokémon Center Online will start selling them starting on September 28th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

Earlier this year, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic was announced as a timeless set of Pokémon TCG decks designed for fans to enjoy friendly battles anytime and anywhere. Now, fans can prepare for these battles when Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic launches at Pokémon Center and local hobby stores on November 17, 2023. Sept. 21, 2023 — The Pokémon Company group announced today that Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic, revealed on Pokémon Day 2023, will be available at participating retailers starting Nov. 17, 2023. In addition, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic is now available for preorder at Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise in the U.S. and Canada.

Created as a collaboration among The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc. and design firm nendo, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic is a premium Pokémon TCG collection designed to be a staple play set for any Pokémon TCG fan. Sporting a reimagined design, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic contains everything fans need to play and collect the Pokémon TCG, including preconstructed decks and gameplay accessories — all of which have been uniquely designed to be both beautiful and functional to deliver a polished battling experience.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic comes with three preconstructed decks headlined by iconic cards from the history of the Pokémon TCG, including recreations of Base Set Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. Each deck contains 60 foil cards and features one of the three Kanto first partner Pokémon — Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. Alongside classic cards, brand-new cards are included to enable players to form new strategies. The new cards feature Lugia ex, Ho-Oh ex, Suicune ex, Sun Seed, Scorching Charcoal, Drops in the Ocean and a Mr. Mime card that was previously released only in Japan.[1]

Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic will also equip Trainers with the following components:

Lift Your Spirits with the Pokémon Center’s Halloween 2023 Collection

Pay homage to scary movies, Ghost-type Pokémon, and the most superbly spirited season of them all.

Orange you excited for Halloween? If you’re not yet, you certainly will be after checking out the treats the Pokémon Center’s dishing up in anticipation of the spookiest night of the year. Jump scares—or rather the film genre that inspired them—take center stage this year with the Cinema Scares line. The Haunted Pokémon Village is back and better than ever. And you can dress to impress—and intimidate—with the Marvelous Misfits collection.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect from the Pokémon Center’s 2023 Halloween boo-tique:


The Haunted Pokémon Village is a Halloween classic that just keeps getting better. With four creepily cute figures to add to your collection, there’s no end to the spook-tacular antics. If you look closely at the Roserade Spooky Cinema, you might think you’re experiencing deja-boo, as some of the artwork from the posters is also available in the Cinema Scares collection. Rotom, Dedenne, Yamper, and their friends are having an electrifyingly good time at the Rotom Power Plant. Judging by Pikachu’s dazed expression, the Mr. Mime Fun House might have overdelivered on the fun. And the Lycanroc Howling Hill will inspire you to head outside to bay at the next full moon.


Horror movies are a cornerstone of Halloween. And the Cinema Scares line pays homage to the classic experience of watching a scary movie on a dark and stormy night. A flash of lightning, and Trevenant appears, lumbering toward you menacingly, claw outstretched! Featuring spooky Pokémon-styled pumpkins and designs inspired by vintage pulp horror movies, Pokémon Center’s new home décor products, along with the new seasonal plush, will be available in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. beginning September 6, followed by the moody, pop-punk apparel line launching on September 14.


Trainers can also show off their love for Pokémon and Pokéween with more products launching this season, including “Pokémon Primers: Ghost Types,” a new addition to the “Pokémon Primers” book series, available for preorder now and releasing on October 17 where books are sold; the Pokémon Halloween Calendar 2023 from Jazwares, available now at participating retailers; a Mimikyu plush from Build-A-Bear Workshop, available now in Build-A-Bear Workshop stores and online; and a wide array of Halloween costumes and accessories from Disguise, available now online and at participating retailers.

Get an Electric–Tera Type Mimikyu in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet

Trainers in the U.S. and Canada can stop by their local GameStop store to pick up a code that will let them add an Electric–Tera Type Mimikyu to their team in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. Codes will be available in-store in October, and only while supplies last. Additional details will be revealed at a later date.

Pokéween-themed Activities in Pokémon GO

To celebrate Pokéween in Pokémon GO, players will see an increased number of Ghost-type Pokémon in addition to costumed Pokémon, receive various bonuses, and more. Pokémon GO in-game events will take place throughout October, and additional details will be revealed at a later date.

Pokéween Coming to Pokémon Sleep

Pokéween will be coming soon to Pokémon Sleep. Players will find more Ghost-type Pokémon gathered when they conduct sleep research in the morning, receive various bonuses, and more. In addition, players can look forward to a Pokémon Sleep in-game event in late October. Additional details for the event will be revealed at a later date.

Mimikyu and New Battle Pass Coming to Pokémon UNITE

Mimikyu will join the fray in Pokémon UNITE on October 19. In addition, the next Pokémon UNITE battle pass will be available from October 24 until December 4. Players will be able to complete unique missions to earn rewards, including the Phantom Thief Style: Inteleon Holowear.

Celebratory Animation Marathon Coming to Twitch

Trainers can tune in to Twitch.tv/Pokemon for a weekly animation marathon every Tuesday between October 3 and October 31 to stream spooktacular episodes of the Pokémon animated series.

On Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, new plushies from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC will be available at the Pokémon Center! Available this time is: Ogerpon, who plays an active role in Part 1 The Teal Mask, Iineinu, Mashimashira, and Kichikigisu. Enjoy the feeling of adventure with these four unique plushies!

At the Amazon.co.jp Pokémon Store, pre-orders will be starting on September 13th, 2023, and sales starting on September 23rd, 2023, but due to the limited number of products available, they may be sold during the pre-order period.

Pokémon Center TAIPEI has been announced and it will open in December of 2023 in Taipei, Taiwan. It will be the second permanent location outside of Japan, the first being Pokémon Center Singapore. There will be commemorative products for the opening, opening events and much more! Full details will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned!

September 26th, 2023 Update:

Further details about the opening of the Pokémon Center TAIPEI were announced on September 26th, 2023. It was revealed that the grand opening would take place in December 2023. The design of the store is inspired by the island, which has a rich natural environment and is surrounded by sky and sea. At the entrance, Dragonite and Pikachu will warmly welcome everyone. There will be an area where you can watch videos related to Pokémon merchandise, and there will also be an area for the Pokémon Trading Card Game!
