Track Down Shiny Skwovet and More in Max Raid Battles

The Berry-loving Pokémon is the star of a weekend-long event in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Things are getting nuts in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. From Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. PST through Sunday, November 22, 2020, at 3:59 p.m. PST, Skwovet will appear much more frequently in Max Raid Battles. While you're battling this Cheeky Pokémon, you'll even have a better chance of encountering a Shiny Skwovet! During this event, you'll also notice an increased number of Cherubi, Amoonguss, Shiinotic, and Greedent showing up in Max Raid Battles. These Pokémon must be very hungry, because Berries will be plentiful as Max Raid Battle rewards all weekend long, too.

For an opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you'll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon. This event does not affect the Pokémon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.

Trainers, Enjoy a limited-time promotion for Remote Raid Passes! From Monday, October 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Monday, November 30, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8), there will be a free Remote Raid Pass available every Monday.

Each Remote Raid Pass will be available for only a week, so be sure to check the in-game shop each week to claim that week’s Remote Raid Pass before it’s gone.

Did you know that the faster you win a raid, the more rewards you’ll get? Be sure to battle in raids with your friends so you can win as fast as possible! No matter where your friends are, you can invite them to your raid lobby as long as they have a Remote Raid Pass.

Are you ready to raid with friends? Pick up a Remote Raid Pass, and let’s GO!

Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change.

Celebrate the seasonal equinox in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield with Pokémon that evolved with Moon Stones and Sun Stones.

September's seasonal equinox is almost upon us, Trainers. This day that grants us equal parts daylight and darkness is being commemorated in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield with a Max Raid Battle event. From Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. PDT until Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you will encounter raids featuring Pokémon that evolved from the use of either a Moon Stone or a Sun Stone.

During the event period, be on the lookout for more frequent raid encounters with Moon Stone–centric Pokémon—like Clefable, Wigglytuff, and Musharna—and Sun Stone–evolved Pokémon—like Bellossom, Whimsicott, and Lilligant. If you're extremely lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Clefable.

To encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you'll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den in the Wild Area, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon.
