The Pokémon Company held the Pokémon Press Conference: Future Plans for Indonesia 2025 at the Fairmont Jakarta on January 23rd, 2025. They announced a collaboration with the Indonesian national team football team, a Pikachu Jet GA 2 with Garuda Indonesia, that Pikachu's Indonesia Journey will return for 2025, the first Indonesian song for the Horizons anime and that Pokémon MEZASTAR would launch in the country.

“In 2024, we met many people in various cities in Indonesia and realized Indonesia is a vast country. Perhaps some haven’t had the chance to meet Pikachu, and we want to meet more friends in Indonesia. Therefore, in 2025, we have five flagship programs,” explained Susumu Fukunaga, Corporate Officer of The Pokémon Company Japan.

Pokémon and PSSI Special Project Begins!

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) in partnership with PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia (GSI) announced that Pikachu and Cinderace will wear Indonesian football uniforms to support local football activities, there will be a Pokémon Day friendly match featuring the Indonesian U-23 national team, and they will be holding U-14 and U-16 tournaments at the Hydro Plus Piala Pertiwi. A football learning video featuring Indonesian national team players with Pikachu and Cinderace will also be produced.

On January 17, 2025, the Pokémon Card Game officially enters the Scarlet & Violet (朱&紫) series in China with the first set being the Pokémon Trading Card Game Gem Pack Volume 1, which aims to provide a new collecting experience for Trainers who love collecting Pokémon cards. Each pack contains 4 cards, all of which are Holo cards. Try to collect all the Holo cards of your favorite Pokémon!

The first volume of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Gem Pack includes many Pokémon including Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly from the Paldea region. Which one do you like the most? The CD's for the TV anime Pocket Monsters ending theme, Pikkaan! Giga & TeddyLoid meets Rina Matsuda & Hikaru Morita (Sakurazaka46), will be released on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.

Pikkaan is an unique collaboration that has been talked about a lot, with Giga & TeddyLoid as the producers, DECO*27 as the lyrics writer, and features Sakurazaka46's Rina Matsuda and Hikaru Morita as the vocalists. Kei Mochizuki was the CD jacket designer.

The CD will be available in two versions, limited editions A and B, each in analog-sized packaging, with luxurious content that includes a CD, Blu-ray, and an acrylic stand.

The limited edition A version includes a new jacket design with Captain Pikachu throwing a Thunder Punch, a creditless video of Pikkaan, and an original acrylic stand of the Pokémon that appear in the creditless video.
